Categories For The 2012 Slammy Awards For Next Week’s WWE Raw

WWE Slammy Awards

Following this week’s WWE Raw the company released the categories for the 2012 Slammy Awards. They are as follows:

  • Superstar of the Year
  • Breakout Star of the Year
  • Trending Now Award – (Hashtag of the Year)
  • Comeback of the Year
  • Kiss of the Year
  • “Tell me I did NOT just see that” – (The Most Shocking Moment of the Year)
  • LOL Moment of the Year
  • Match of the Year

It’s of note there is no category for Diva of the Year. All voting will take place via the WWE App and WWE’s second screen experience, “WWE Active.”

    Here's my picks:

    Superstar of the Year – CM Punk

    Breakout Star of the Year – Ryback or Cesaro

    Trending Now Award – Not sure, but something involving The Rock

    Comeback of the Year – Brock Lesnar (though it was expected) or Jerry Lawler (making a quick recovery, and returning to the announce table)

    Kiss of the Year – Obviously one involving AJ!

    Tell Me I did just NOT see that – Punk turning heel at RAW 1000, or Mae Young's hand at RAW 1000

    LOL Moment of the Year – The Daniel Bryan & Kane Anger Management skits

    Match of the Year – Undertaker vs Triple H

      I agree however hands down Ryback over Cesaro, and the kiss is the latest one with John and AJ when Vikki was in the ring. Tell me I did not just see that may be the one with Brad Maddox low blowing Ryback.

    I’ll go out on a limb and just say that Jerry Lawler is a lock for comeback of the year. Shocking moment of the year Brock Lesnar returns the night after Wrestlemania and F-5s John Cena’s corny arse! Match of the year, I bet it’s gonna be Undertaker vs Triple H (not voting for that btw) Superstar of the year? Daniel Bryan!
