Chris Jericho On Original Universal Title Plans, Cruiserweight Division And Mania Pitch

On a recent episode of Busted Open radio, Chris Jericho was the guest and spoke on a number of wrestling-related topics. One topic of particular interest was regarding the Universal Title. Jericho said that the original plan was for Kevin Owens to hold it until Wrestlemania when Jericho would beat him for the title to cap off their feud. Jericho would then drop the strap to Brock Lesnar at Payback.

Jericho also spoke on the cruiserweight division and noted that there aren't that many overall differences between those stars and the main roster. He offered up a suggestion to put Enzo Amore in the division to feud with Neville because he could bring that charisma in and spice everything up a bit.

Finally, Jericho revealed a pitch he originally made for Wrestlemania and that was for him to face Shinsuke Nakamura since he was just about to head to the main roster after Takeover: Orlando.
