This is bullshit at the end of the day hes a heel he didnt know heels always do that cant wait for his return

  • Kristolium

Really? It makes it look like a terrorist act. I feel really bad about the politics nowadays. People should lighten up. But then, the law is the law.

  • ZackPack

    What a joke.

  • William

    That's pretty fair.

  • Crane

Like I said as he returns. Nobody needs Jericho. He’s the Egomaniac of Egomaniacs!
Go away, quit or whatever but leave the WWE. Can Egomanics sing…?

    • ChaosBlue

What are you smoking Crane? You sure you're confusing someone else with jericho? 'coughhogancoughbicshoffcough

  • Anus

Sounds to me that the actual incident was legit, but the whole suspension thing sounds like a work to give him time off to tour.

  • jdl

This screams of a work, but they had been leading up to a feud with Orton, so it's hard to get a bead on it. Either way, suspending him for doing his job in a foreign country is ridiculous.

  • Chuck

So he kicks a flag gets 30 days suspended. Cm punk tells a fan to kill himself and gets nothing. I am thinking Chris failed a drug test and this smells like a cover up.

  • Matt

    It is… NOT ENOUGH!!!!

lol jk. I'm a CM Punk fan. A heel CM Punk fan.

  • sroney

in some way it's like the JBL Nazi incident

  • H.M.

They(the WWE) SHOULD have mentioned him as Christopher Irvine(his real name) in that article..not Chris Jericho aka his ring name.

    • XKonn247

Would you stop saying that. None of the random, passer by, mainstream fans know who the hell Christopher Irvine is as he’s even Jericho in his band.

      • bruno

They use real names when suspending superstars.

    • bruno

      Very smart

  • Logan_Walker

Would you say that this is the same as when the miz came out during the American National Anthem when there was them natitional gaurds, but finaly gets fired

  • Vin Sidious

But if Chris went out and called the entire arena a bunch of worthless, smelly, lazy, ugly, hairy, South American sweathogs, it wouldn't be an issue and no apology necessary. If this "incident" is legit, its absurd and WWE should stop playing Brazil for a year or so, just to make sure their Superstars don't cause international incidents by unknowingly violating laws like this. They should, however, perform in other countries as close to the Brazilian border as they can get, so hopefully the Brazilian fans will travel to the shows and spend their money supporting WWE and some other county's economy. Screw Brazil.

what the hell are you saying?! I’m brazilian and i was there when it happened! sure Chris did not know, but then again, neither did I and most of the people there. this incident could have happened in any other country in the world that has this law. USA for instance is one of these countries so Miz interrupting the national anthem should have caused his suspension as well. therefore one could speculate that this was an excuse for chris to be free to go on Fozzi’s tour.

  • http://wrestlingworld.com jrock

Just plain and simply, Brazil SUX!!!!!!!.. that country stinks! USA! Nothing like in the world

    • XKonn247

      You’re a disgrace.

    • Daniel Moreno WWE

I’m not even getting in the matter of whether Brazil sucks or not, because clearly you are just some ignorant virgin with a teenager’s mind. I am sure you could not even tell where Brazil is located or which language is spoken there.
If you’re mad about Jericho’s suspension, just accept the fact that it could have happened to any other superstar from the roaster. I’m also sure that should it have happened to some rookie superstar no one would give a crap about it and it would have passed unnoticed. Furthermore, if you’re not well informed, Christopher is going on Fozzi’s tour in a few days. therefore this could have been an excuse for him to get some days off.
      Peace

    • Darkstalker

Oh my, I couldn´t agree more. There is nothing like the USA in the world. Nothing! You are absolutely right about that.

      That being said …

… the reason why there´s nothing like the USA in the world is plain and simple. One country like the USA is enough to bare …

      @topic: Fozzy Tour Cover-Up.

  • gibbons08

The fact of the matter is its illegal to deface the Brazilian flag in any manner, so an apology to the crowd is getting off pretty easy!

  • Karl

The only thing Jericho is awful at is making a work believeable. He’s telling everyone on Twitter that he’s suspended and is acting like nothing happened. This is without a doubt a work. He kept denying that he wasn’t coming back on January 2nd and look what happened. Lol. Jericho is an expert in the ring but not on the internet.

  • Zach

So when La Resistance was still an active stable, it was completely fine for them to wave the American flag upside down and throw and kick it, but when we do it to another countries flag, the superstar gets suspended..hmmm..sounds like a pretty idiotic thing to do to me.

  • D-Bag

That's weird Jericho's suspension coincides with Fozzy's European festival tour. Work.

  • PhilT81

I think that Chris Jericho may get some face reactions when he returns – I think the suspension is somewhat convenient to write him off of TV while Fozzy tours.

    • Hardy

I think it’s safe to say they’re putting the feud with orton on hold whilst he tours, I’m seeing fozzy at download festival in the UK and that’s in under 2 weeks. So i’m pretty sure it’s a scripted suspension.

  • Mr Incredible

Reminds me of the time when JBL gave the Nazi salute in Germany w/o realizing that it was illegal. He subsequently lost his tv gig on cnbc. Heel or not, u have to be aware of laws and etc…

  • Robert olley

Fozzy tours for 3 months at a time not 30 days and I think this whole thing is a work a countries police and higher ups would never let someone simply apologise and forgive the crime. Anybody can see its a work or nobody would ever be punished for anything if they could simply apologise and get off scot free.

  • Dpikz

I think wwe should not go back to brazil .. They tried to entertain and they got all gay and patriotic! They can do one ! Chris Jericho has been the best these last few months !!

  • HRoll

Brazil can burn to the ground.

  • Thomas

It just so happens that Chris Jericho's band that he plays in Fozzy is touring The UK June 6-11th. I guess this is WWE's angle for getting him the time off to go on tour. I can't believe mainstream news would report this story without doing a little bit of research.

  • Jaycee

What's with people jumping on Brazil's back for? That country has rules just like every other county does when it comes to how its flag is handled. If the police hadn't gotten their panties in a wad, it was have been business as usual. They could have not given Jericho a choice and just arrested him in the middle of the ring. WWE was put in a corner. Could you imagine the PR nightmare that would have happened if Jericho wasn't punished? Everyone keeps bringing up the stuff from the past. And that's the issue. Different time, place and state of mind. And saying that the WWE shouldn't tour Brazil wouldn't be fair to their fans. They didn't do anything, their government aka the police did.

If this isn't a cover up for Jericho going on tour, just be glad that he wasn't fired. Being suspended for 30 days is a little harsh though. 2 weeks I can understand…a month? It's not like he pissed on the flag!
