Christopher Daniels On Why He Never Caught On With WWE, Praise For Dixie Carter

Shares 0 has a new interview online with Christopher Daniels. Below are the highlights:

Why he never caught on with WWE:

“I think that they never really saw anything that they could really sink their teeth into,” he said. “Which is OK, because you know, the truth of the matter is I was never really their type of wrestler. Or when I was, or now that I am … I don’t know … I’ve already got ties to TNA, or Ring of Honor, or wherever I was, at the time.”

Praise for Dixie Carter:

“You know, she’s given a lot of people opportunities that they may not have had, if it wasn’t for TNA,” he said. “And the fact that she came around, and helped TNA last, it’s a big deal for a lot of us. Those of us who have never had that opportunity with WWE, we’re on a nationally televised wrestling promotion, and we’re living our dream.”

aside from a couple try out matches on Volocity or Sunday night heat… Christopher Daniels has never had a run in WWE.

    • And honestly, I think he’s better because of it. Daniels got a chance to hone his own style of wrestling, instead of becoming another face in WWE’s crowd.

  • Michael

I think that Daniels deserves a title run along with Storm, Joe, Kaz, and Bully.

Vince has never cared for little guys (aside from Rey) combined w/a lack of personality…there isn’t much going for Daniels from a WWE perspective-he says as much in his quote.

    • Cm punk, daniel bryan, shawn michaels just off the top of my head vince doesnt like small guys them 3 are the same if not smaller in stature as daniels

    • Xavier

Bret Hart, Randy Savage, Chris Beniot, Eddie Guerrero, CM Punk, Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio.

      pure bias…nuff said

  • That is why he will be forever known as “The king of the indies.” Hell of a wrestler, sad that he probably won’t be in WWE.

He never caught on for very simple reasons, he’s not very interesting. Great wrestler, but no charisma and very little personality. He’s only starting to really pick up in those areas now when his career is pretty much approaching its twilight.
