CM Punk To Appear With Chael Sonnen On UFC TV?

Apparently Chael Sonnen will be accompanied to the cage by WWE’s CM Punk for his fight vs. Mark Munoz on Jan. 28. Mean anything to anyone?

Thanks for the education on @CMPunk. I learned: 1) he’s bigger in Chicago than Obama, 2) he’s into MMA, 3) he doesn’t like PED users (hmm).

The fight will take place on January 28, 2012 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois and will air on FOX and is billed as UFC on Fox: Evans vs. Davis.

Contrary to false reports on "other wrestling sites", CM Punk won't be cornering Sonnen during his fight with Munoz. He'll simply be walking out to the octagon with him, similar to how Batista walks out with Pacquaio on occasions.

You have to have an official license to corner a fighter in MMA/Boxing, and whilst it doesn't cost much to be licensed, it's still not something someone can just do whenever they want.

2 of the 3 best talkers in sports coming out together. Magical. Sonnen is easily the best talker and promoter of his fights in MMA, especially with Lesnar being gone.

I know it wouldn't happen, but damn it'd be fun for the two of them to cut a promo.
