CM Punk's Thoughts On Abortion, Says He's Never Taken A Pain Pill In His Life, Waiting To See What Happens With Fan Incident At Raw

We noted here on that CM Punk "refused" to address the fan incident on WWE Raw a couple weeks ago during a radio appearance Thursday on Rover's Morning Glory. While he refused to disclose specifics, Punk did mildly address the issue. Below are the highlights of the interview:

  • Punk opened the interview with an especially weird lead-in as the hosts were discussing abortion. Punk said his view on abortion is silver haired men over the age of 50 have no place deciding what a woman can do with her body.
  • He said he's never taken a pain pill in his life, not even when he fractured his skull ten years ago.
  • The host asked Punk if WWE sat him down and read him the riot act over the fan incident in the crowd at Raw a few weeks ago. He said they responded in a like manner and it's something they all feel won't happen again. Punk confirmed he hasn't watched the tape because he "lived it."
  • When asked if he had contact with the person he hit, he said it's out of his hands and he's waiting to see what happens.
  • The host politely pressed the issue and said WWE must have done something in which Punk brushed it off by saying it all depends on the situation.

The interview is currently available for listen in audio format at this link.

If that about him not even taking a pill when he fractured his skull is genuine then I have even more respect for Phil Brooks than I already do.
I've always tried to live a straight edge life myself, even before I ever heard what it was.
I've never smoked or done drugs of any kind. Never tried them, never wanted to, never saw the appeal.
I tried alcohol when I was a kid and you pester your parents at the Christmas dinner table.
It always tasted like **** so I never bothered pursuing it when I was old enough to legally do so. I always drank diet cola when I was out. I failed to see why I should waste money buying expensive drinks I didn't like for the sake of fitting in and ending up drunk. It wasn't long before I sw what I set of douches my friends at the time really were.
Obviously I took headache pills when I was a kid and my parents gave me them, and I resorted to taking some over-the-counter painkillers when I had a dental abcess last year but other than that I only take prescribed medecines as directed and I'll always request alternatives to anything potentially addictive.
I prefer to grit my teeth and ignore pain and just get on with things. Obviously a WWE performer has a lot more pain to deal with than I ever will, and that's why I've always respected Phil Brooks.

Now C.M.Punk on the other hand can be a bit of a tool at times…

    • Diet cola is horrible for you….sucralose, aspartame, brown coloring, etc….

      • Ken

Everything's horrible for you these days, depending on who you listen to.

    • Robert olley

What has any of that got to do with Brooke’s not taking any pills?

  • HazMatt23

  • Dave

So if he ever gets cancer, I take it he’ll reject chemotherapy? Idiot

    • Pluto

  • Christopher K.

If i were the fan that got hit by punk.1 i woulda definately hit em back no question.and 2…he's paying and so is WWE..would sue so fast..i would want wrestlemania tickets for the remainder of my life.with travel and spending money and cash/.wouldnt settle for anything less..this fan has wwe over a barrel if he does things right.

    • XKonn247

Because you’d win that case real fast after hitting him back.

    • Cyco Simmo

What is it with people just looking at the dollar and wanting to sue at the drop of a hat?
      "Hey man, whats happenin?"
"Nah not much, im just about to head off to WrestleMania cos i got lifetime free tickets cos i carried on like a tit after getting hit by a wrestler in a case of mistaken identity in the heat of a moment! Yeah baby, How cool am I ?!?!"
"Wow mate, you are sooooo awesome. Your life totally rocks!!! Wish i could be a knob jockey like you"

He had medical bills of what would be f*** all, 5 minutes of fame and a story to tell his kids. Poor guy.
Its blokes like this guy Christopher that give the greater American population a bad name in other parts of the world.

  • Everyone has its own point of view. Let us respect the opinion of everyone. Abortion is a matter of choice. We can make our own decisions.
