Cody Rhodes Wins GFW Next-Gen Championship

Cody Rhodes won the Global Force Wrestling Nex-Gen Championship after beating Sonjay Dutt at Friday’s WrestleCade Showcase of Champions show in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

After the match, Cody cut a promo. He stated his father used to say sometimes the title makes the man and other times, the man makes the title. Cody intends to find out which man he is, because he’ll defend the title on Saturday night in Edmonton for a company that is not GFW (he’ll be working for Prairie Wrestling Alliance).

Rhodes stated he will defend the title week after week because he’s an independent contractor and he sure as hell means it. He thanked the crowd to send them home happy.

It’s good to see something from Global Force Wrestling as they stopped updating their website months ago.

Is there any other news on the GFW front?
I can’t imagine they will ever be able to air all the TV they tapped.
Especially since 90% of the talent featured are now singed to other promotions!

GFW does actual matches & shows? I thought all they did was photo shoots, pretending to have done matches & shows….

  • Another desperate act from Jeff to make his promotion seem real.

Are you telling me GFW is not just a gold scam?
