Comparing Kane & Undertaker, The New Upper Management Of WWE, Beth’s Status, Social Media Ambassadors

In the past WWE has booked Kane in some questionable situations and matches, I think we can all agree. Why were Kane and The Undertaker booked so differently but they are both somewhat similar?

Kane and The Undertaker are similar based on the “Brothers of Destruction” angle and the fact they’re both “mysterious monsters,” however, the similarities end there. Undertaker is one of the top WWE superstars of all time, possessing a rare set of in-ring abilities compiled with the personality characteristics to be “the guy.” Kane is a reliable veteran, has decent in-ring work, but he’s nowhere near Undertaker in terms of the top WWE superstars of all time. I don’t hate Kane, I respect him for his work, but a lot of his fans overemphasize the success he’s had when he’s never been “the guy” despite one World title reign (in addition to his one-day WWE Championship reign).

Do you think Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have what it takes to run WWE in succeeding Vince McMahon?

Both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have the personality traits and the thick skin that should make them fine in succeeding Vince McMahon but this question can’t be answered until it actually happens. Vince is grooming both Hunter and Stephanie for their roles by increasing their responsibilities behind-the-scenes and while I don’t agree with everything they do, I’ve been a fan of some of the changes thus far.

What is Beth Phoenix’s status within WWE?

Beth Phoenix is still with WWE but was not at TVs this week due to a death of a loved one. You can read more at this link.

WWE has had a couple Social Media Ambassadors recently. Do those celebrities really sit and watch Raw and Tweet throughout the show?

The Social Media Ambassadors are hired by WWE to promote the show via their social media platforms.  I’m not sure what the deal entails but I would assume some type of monetary value for using their millions of followers to help the company.  As for the celebrities sitting through the broadcast, I’m assuming either they or someone that works for them watches the show to participate in the discussion.  WWE cares more about making topics trend on Twitter because it results in more people tuning in.

Just want to say I love your website, its full of info and good facts keep up the good work guys !!!

  • Joe

It actually does work, I’ve looked at some replies from the tweets the kardashian sent out Monday. The amount of people that said “I’m watching raw tonight because you are” were ridiculous

    • Joe Jefree

Yeah…that overwhelming 3.1 rating sure proved this thing is working alright…..

  • Vince McLamp

I’m guessing WWE sends them a list of things to say. Most of these celebreties can’t hide it. Like Tom Arnold on Touts. Hilarious.

Kane deserves more than the lousy creative has gave him. I think Kane has what it takes to be “the man”. If creative knew what they were doing.

agree and disagree with you about kane, i agree he is not near the popularity of the undertaker and maybe a little behind taker in his ring work. i disagree that kane is just a reliable veteran because he makes a storyline more watchable with him in it and his run when he was unmasked was the best destructive run ive seen.

Especially all the old stuff. Setting JR on fire, hooking up a car battery to Shane's nuts, burying the Undertaker for him to only return at WrestleMania XX, ect.

  • BIG TYME

I think Kane has some great wrestling skills too. Thank goodness his match with Randy followed the really weird start to WrestleMania this year, because it was very entertaining. Hopefully, before he retires, they give him one last run with the WWE championship, or the World title.

I cringe every time Kane gets beat down by a cruiserweight these days. Raw 1,000 wrecking crew styles BOD. I take it it’s due to bad hips all round that neither of them “sit up” anymore?

  • Jay

Kane itsnt the same Kane we all knew before the 2004 unmasking……Ever since then they have been trying to place the mask back on Kane by having all this "May 19th" storyline several years ago….and then the Kane Vs Imposter Kane and since everyone was hyped his mask would be on……It didnt and from then people were just not bothered as much because look how long its taken for them to actually put the mask back on.

Now you see him get beat up by weak guys who are half his size and his character aint the same as the old Kane when every time he got knock down he would sit back up etc.
I think his mask is no wear near as good as his old one. But I do respect his work!

    where is mason ryan ?

I find it hard to understand why Richard is so critical of Kane but sings the praises of someone like big show who isn’t anywhere near the worker that Kane is. Nothing against show but he’s extremely limited whereas Kane is one of the best big man workers ever. It’s cetainly a matter of opinion as well.

Having that Kardashian as the “social media ambassador” was a great idea. Props to whoever decided to use her in this role. No, I’m not a fan of hers at all and couldn’t tell you the first thing about her, but that basically makes my point. Because the people who are following her on Twitter are not the people who are watching pro-wrestling every week, and by using her to Tweet about the show as its happening WWE just reached another million or so people that I guarantee don’t even watch Raw or know what Raw was until she was Tweeting about it. Pretty smart idea. A lot of people have the tendency to be puppets and do what these celebs tell them. So i’d be interested to know if her Tweeting about Raw had any effect on her “followers”.

I don't get why they mess Kane around so much, I love it when hes a heel and he can dominate, and I sometimes find him funny when hes a baby face, but changing ever couple of months is just bizarre, when he returned they should have kept him a heel
