- WWE issued the following press release:

100 Million Fans Like WWE

STAMFORD, Conn., July 20, 2012 – WWE® (NYSE:WWE) today announced that it has eclipsed 100 million fans through its global social media networks, further cementing its position as one of the most followed brands in the world.

To celebrate this milestone, WWE has surprised its 100 millionth social media fan, Alex Guerrero, Jr., 27 from San Antonio, Texas with a free trip to Monday Night Raw’s 1,000th episode live from St. Louis, Mo. this Monday. Guerrero will also appear on the show and be featured across all of WWE’s social media platforms, including Tout, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and on, making him an online Superstar.

Currently, WWE has more than 73 million Facebook fans and 30 million Twitter followers across all of its networks. WWE’s network of Facebook pages has more fans than the NFL’s Facebook league page and its 32 team pages combined. WWE’s flagship Facebook page has a stronger following than brands such as MLB, ESPN, Nickelodeon, HBO, Pepsi and CNN. On Twitter, @WWE has more followers than the NHL, McDonald’s, TMZ, CNBC, and Coca-Cola. Earlier this year, WWE and its Superstars received six 2011 Mashable Awards including “Digital Company of the Year” and “Must Follow Brand on Social Media.”

The 1,000th episode of Monday Night Raw not only marks a new 8/7C start time on USA Network, but an expanded three-hour format that will usher in a new era of interactive programming, where viewers will become part of the action by using social media platforms to have a voice in the show.

NO ONE likes Michael McGillicutty's name, so you're not alone there, Larry.

PS – George, wherever you are… I've altered my commenting name a little, to make it more… well, I'd say ridiculous, but since a simple Ken wasn't to your liking, so I'm kind of out on a limb here, George. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    • Richard

      You mad bro?

  • Patrick Peralta

I agree with Larry "the AX" Henning….I hate the "McGillicutty." name Joe Henning is useing.. He should be useing the Henning family name and be proud of it..

While I can understand the need to do things on his own work hard and earn his pushes and spot in the company and not be given favors because of the Henning name…Joe should still use it the name proudly.

    • Adam

Wouldn't that be the same with Bray Wyatt/Husky Harris not using his real name which is Windham Rotunda (son of Irwin R Schyster) and Raquel Diaz aka Shaul Guerrero (daughter of Eddie and Vickie?)

      • XKonn247

The way you’ve written AX would imply you think Hennig was in demolition. He wasn’t.

      • Blazeking

Those names are actually good though. Michael McGillicutty is pretty "meh".

  • RobUK

Rhodes and ted jnr both came in with there fathers names. I can’t understand why Joe isn’t. Mr. Perfect was one off the all time greats and it’s still a travesty to me he was never WWF champion. Wheather it’s WWE or Joe himself who doesn’t want to use the name I don’t know but they in my option should shoot it loud and proud. Bring back Legecy let’s get henning in that with a returning Orton.

Ted IMO is not near what his dad was and Im not sure if he has the charisma to pull it off he is talented in the ring but with Ted its like something is missing…. Now Cody he really didnt have much of a choice and he went by his given name in OVW of Runnels and he has gotten SO much better in his time in WWE from when he first started but I think he will be a champion but IDK I LOVED His dad Dusty and Goldust is CLASSIc Dustin made that work and turned it awesome But Cody IDK for example his feud wth the Big SHow IMO was a joke it was not very good matches I mean HBK put on good matches with Big Show and he is not much bigger than Cody even Rey Mysterio put on matches But the matches with Cody just really fell flat and I think he just needs more seasoning to get it right

  • BigMike

Larry and Curt were class acts all the way real pros in and out of the ring great people that knew the business and LOVE the business I hope Joe becomes as great as his dad and G-Pa and I think there was a sister and another Bro that was interested as well that would be cool……….I liked Vince's point about not using the Henning name due to others not working out as well ………… not all can be Randy orton ,The Rock, Or even Chavo

  • unknown

i think they should just repackage him as a henning. it would make sense and could help build him back up

  • George

Mr perfect was an all time great, he really was perfect at what he did. It’s a shame he never won the wwf championship he deserved it.

  • Davidh

    It's Hennig not Henning.

    • kbunyon

A lot of people don't realize that it isn't 'Henning'. It took me years to realize that I was wrong on that one. Because of that I'm not at all surprised than people mess that surname up as much as they do.

  • Ricky Ricardo

Mcgillicutty…. Hmmmm that name sounds familiar ;)

  • Liam

Obviously WWE isnt good at picking names, for example Daniel Bryan…
