Daniel Bryan Wants To Start New Era The Night After Wrestlemania 30

The Boston Herald has a new article featuring quotes from Daniel Bryan, Ric Flair and Jim Ross reflecting on 30 years of Wrestlemania. Flair put over Vince McMahon and JR talked up his worth ethic, however, there's another comment I want to focus on.

Bryan talked about the night after Wrestlemania 30 being the beginning of a new era. Below is an excerpt:

“I’d like to go out on Monday Night Raw on the day after WrestleMania and start a new era with guys who can go out in the ring and perform,” said Bryan. “John Cena and Randy Orton are great performers, but so are Cesaro and The Shield. It’s time to give some new guys some new opportunities.”

Raw will take place next Monday from the Smoothie King Center in NOLA.

I’m all for giving new guys opportunity but the question is can they fill seats. Daniel Bryan has come a long way but when Cena was out hurt there was an opportunity for Bryan or Punk to take the lead. However they could not fill seats and Cena had to come back early. Only time will tell.

remember one thing it takes time it’s not going to happen over night for the new guys to get fully over…..WWE’s problem is they have always been to impatient Vince wants instant results. even with guys like hogan , Austin ,Rock ,Bret it took time.

If they do it right it should take time. I’m really interested to see where Roman Reigns goes.

Hopefully nowhere for a few years so he can mature and not just build matches around rest holds.

People can say all they like about Bryan and Punk not drawing views but people need to realise the interest of alot of viewers do not rely on 1 superstar alone. There are factors such as the stories they are involved in that can have a significant impact on general interest.
I firmly believe that if the WWE were to create storylines for those holding the lower tier titles and other talents not involved with a championship that there would be an increased interest in the product as a whole. They prove that it can be done on the WM and SS shows, but then they have gilled the rest of the year with meaningless moments and endless HHH promos.

Bryan is hotter than Cena….Cena’s can’t even draw viewers anymore, look at the breakdowns, Bryan is beating everyone up at a high level, don’t give me this he can’t draw BS…..Bryan’s house shows have been amazing lately and he is almost on Cena’s level of merchandise, people need to stop downplaying him, they look ridiculous.

            We shall see.

i’m sorry, are you a financial analyst for the company? they can make money even with Hawkins as WWE champion…they’re worth two billion.

The problem with making that comparison is simple, WWE wasn’t going to let Punk or Bryan take over. Cena was never gone gone. He was always coming back. And when he came back, he was going straight back into the top of the card. Simple as.

Sounds beautiful. Wrestlemania XXX is going to be the handing of the torch. I expect the youth movement guys to come out with wins. I’m really excited for ‘Mania for that sole reason. We’ll be watching the beginning of a new era.
