Daniel Bryan's Wrestlemania 30 Match Official, Could Pull Double Duty

Daniel Bryan will face Triple H in a singles match at Wrestlemania XXX, however, if Bryan wins, he'll be inserted into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Randy Orton and Batista.

We first reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com on March 3, 2014 that WWE was considering having Bryan pull double duty at Wrestlemania by inserting him into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match later in the night.

WWE plugged Bryan's reaction in this week's episode of Backstage Pass following Raw live on the WWE Network.

Richard Reacts: This is why I refused to give up hope. I'm EXTREMELY glad to see WWE save their title match at Wrestlemania. Rest assure this was something they didn't want to do but were forced to do. I expect Bryan to beat Hunter and get inserted into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. I just hope it's enough to get Bryan the payoff he's rightfully earned and the payoff the WWE fan base demands.

Richard’s fast with the info lol that just happened, now lets hope Triple H does the right thing and put Daniel Bryan over

    • BIG M

Not even Triple H has enough Gaul to try and bury DB now.
VKM still might be crazy enough to tease it though.

      • Whammaster

I 100% expect Bryan getting destroyed on Smackdown or next Monday night.

      • jdl

Oh yes he does. Triple H’s ego is massive, and if you think he’s not arrogant enough to try and bury Daniel Bryan, you’re fooling yourself. I would say at best he beats Triple H and loses the title match, at worst he beats Triple H and then the title match ends with a complete and utter squashing. He gets hit with every finisher and it ends with Batista standing above him with a boot on his chest raising the title.

If that happens, I’ll cancel my WWE Network subscription.

          • Doofus112

You’ll still be paying for the months following, though, doofus! And chances are, you’d probably resubscribe or just purchase the PPVs at full price on television.

  • BIG M

Finally commen sense prevails in WWE booking Mania.

  • f_caus

Boreton vs. Bootista by themselves would have been the only time I would have approved of drunk wrestling fans throwing garbage into the ring.

    • Zoran T

Shut up smark. I agree about Batista beng rubbish in today’s standards but Orton plays a role not many could do very well.

      • Simon Veitch

Orton can be good, but his character at the moment is just awful. It’s one thing to be a heel, but he’s just the Authority’s bitch in this story line, got handed the title and does nothing but complain. If they’d let Orton out to be a more dominant heel and actually win without help it would do wonders for his character

  • Rayner Chee-bai

i got three words for ya!

    YES! YES! YES!

  • Venom

I’m a little disappointment. I was looking forward to the hijacking.

  • Patrick

if he does win his match with HHH and goes into the title match that’s great…..now only thing left is to see if he wins the title…

    • Bob’s Diner

I could actually see him getting screwed over by The Authority – have Batista align them and all that

  • Bob’s Diner

Well I never… I’ve been of the opinion that they were never going to do this and am happy to be proven wrong. Smart call from WWE. Was obviously the right call to make.

  • Zoran T

And Orton get pinned clean by Bryan again.
I feel sorry for the guy. He works hard and yet is the most overlooked main eventer on the roster.

    • Mysterion

Overlooked!? He’s a bloody multi time champion. He’s been in the main event, except that one year, over half his career! Are you that ignorant you think he’s overlooked!? Daniel Bryan, the most over, most talented guy in the company. Two title runs totalling a night. Orton is NOT overlooked, “mark”. You’re just too damn ignorant to admit he’s not over. You hear that no existent reaction he garners from the house? Barely anyone has cared about this title run.

  • jdl

Like Triple H’s ego will allow Bryan to enter the match. He’ll wheel and deal his way to winding up on top somehow. The odds are either he’ll destroy Bryan in the match, or lose but the match will end with the Authority running in and KOing the ref, before giving Bryan a pedigree, RKO, chokeslam, another pedigree, a batista bomb, two more pedigrees, four more RKOs and then a punt before Batista hits a bomb on Orton and walks out with the title. Exaggeration aside this is not WWE saving their title match, it’s simply placating the fans so they can keep the yes movement going until it peters out due to months of abuse from management.

  • Padres4life

so if he beats three guys in one night…..how can he still be below Cena?

  • Charles

This will save the main event from being a complete disaster but like putting bubble gum on a leaky roof it doesn’t change anything.

Bautista will leave WrestleMania with the title obviously because he’s HHH’s boy and he has unexpectedly become one of the top heels WWE has had in years.

The Yes Movement is going to be around for a long time because whether people wanna admit it or not D. Bryan chasing the WWE title is far more entertaining than
    D. Bryan wearing the WWE title.
