What You Didn't See On Raw; Stephanie McMahon & Triple H Announce Connor's Cure

What You Didn't See on Raw

WWE will return to the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. for Monday Night Raw on December 29, 2014. The presale code to obtain tickets is RAWWEDC.

After this week's show went off the air, John Cena, Sheamus, Cesaro and Roman Reigns were in the ring. Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt attacked but the babyfaces fought them off to send the crowd home happy. The babyfaces celebrated to end the taping.

Connor's Cure

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H have announced the formation of "Connor's Cure." The charity is named after the young Daniel Bryan fan that grabbed all of hearts -- Connor Michalek. Michalek died at the age of 8 earlier this year from Medulloblastoma.

The charity, personally funded by Stephanie and Hunter, is through the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Donations can be made at this link. Dot com has coverage here.

Isn’t this the type of thing they could do during the show instead of afterwards? After the 11 releases last week I’d have thought they’d jump at the chance for some good publicity especially during the flagship show

While I agree it could have been done on TV, it would have contradicted their heel characters. Unfortunately, not everyone can separate between characters and what’s real. The WWE has to cater to the lowest common denominator.

I was going to mention the heel thing but after seeing the video that WWE shared on Facebook just after WM30 about Connor I think they would have been able to completely bypass keyfabe. Even Vince McMahon ignored his on screen heel persona for the really serious announcements so I don’t feel like it’s have been a big deal for HHH or Stephanie to so the same.

And I clearly don’t spell check very well…

This is true. Maybe they filmed it for another video package so it would have more of an impact?

          • Geordie Dolph

That’s a good point. Would probably also have a bigger impact if Daniel Bryan announced it especially seeing as Connor was a huge fan of his

The end saw Wyatt and Orton go in. After the babyfaces cleared Orton out of the ring, Bray was speared by Roman, then Broughe Kicked by Shameus. Cena is about to give Bray a second AA but the ref must have whispered to him to throw him into the mud pit to send everyone happy.

    Good on them.
