Doink & DDP Return To WWE On This Week's Raw Supershow

Doink (played by "The Brooklyn Brawler" Steve Lombardi) worked a match against Heath Slater on this week's Raw Supershow. Reversing the trend, Slater actually went over in the bout.

After the match, Diamond Dallas Page returned and gave Slater the Diamond Cutter.

Doink and DDP were brought in as names from the past to celebrate the lead-in to the 1000th episode of Raw. Bringing in past names is going to be a reoccurring theme until the 1000th episode on July 23, 2012.

    “It’s me,It’s me, It’s DDP!”

Does anyone know how was portraying Doink for this appearance? Im quite curious considering 7 people portrayed him with some regularity. and then Jericho's sported the Doink persona once. Anyone know?

    • Prprince

It was really good to see Doink and DDP tonight. I was just really young, about 5 around 2001 when the WCW was bought by Vince. I remember Doink. I really marked out for DDP. Seeing him brings back memories of my childhood. Brings back memories of the attitude era.

You wasn’t around for the attitude era if you was 5 in 2001.

Heath Slater was great. I enjoy watching him and he is also fun. He plays his part well. Maybe he and Tyson Kidd can start a feud.

Does Vince have a beef with Doink(or the person who played Doink)? They had Cole and Lawler absolutely bury the man then had him lose, being the only legend to fall to Heath Slater.

The minute Slater made mention of clowns I knew we'd be seeing Doink. I didn't know that we'd be seeing DDP though. Marked out the hardest for him than any other legend in the past few weeks. Also found it ironic that Slater used a varient of the Diamond Cutter to beat Doink before DDP gave him one.

      That was the point

        / sarcasm.

Idk I marked out just as much for vader as much as I did for DDP

      • H.M.

Well now that I think about it, I marked out a bit for Sid and Vader so I can't say. I was just a huge DDP fan back in the day so yeah lol.

        • Mr.Love

Oh yeah DDP was the man! Just for me Vader was equal in my eyes because I grew up watching him as well
