Economic Impact of Wrestlemania 29

NorthJersey.com has a new article online looking at the economic impact that Wrestlemania 29 will have this year. Below is a quote from New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority president Wayne Hasenbalg:

“People will see in the next week the magnitude of this,” Hasenbalg said of WrestleMania. “In Miami [last year's WrestleMania site] the estimated economic impact was $103 million, and I am optimistic we will receive similar or better news,”

Buyrate Projections

WWE senior vice president of special events John Saboor says the company is projecting to do more than 1.3 million buys with Wrestlemania 29 this year. You can read all his comments here at NJ.com.

    Personally, I feel that despite the talent on the card, this WrestleMania’s poor build will make the buyrate suffer. I expect between 1.0 and 1.1 million buys.

    I predict that it does less than last year. WrestleMania 30 will blow all records out of the water next year.
