Written by Richard Trionfo (PWInsider.com) on Apr 24, 2007 - 11:58:42 PM
ECW on Sci-Fi Opener:
We start off this week’s show with a look back at last week’s main event between Rob Van Dam and Elijah Burke. Then we see CM Punk coming to ringside to try to help Burke, but that help backfired when Van Dam used the chair that was intended for Burke.
Backstage:
CM Punk is in the back watching the video from last week and he says that he needs to apologize to the members of the New Breed who are all in the room with Punk. He says that he will not apologize for trying to assume a role of leadership, pointing out the need for independent thinkers, or telling people that when you get knocked down you need to get back up. Punk says that he was trying to help Elijah but he got overzealous. He says that it is all in the past because of the eight man elimination match. Tonight is the night that everyone will remember the New Breed. He wants to know if everyone is on the same page. Punk shakes hands with Kevin Thorn, Matt Striker, and Marcus Cor Von before walking away from Elijah Burke. Punk returns to the room and he says that he was only messing with Burke.
