ECW On Sci Fi Results - February 27, 2007

We start off with footage from the last few weeks of Raw where Vince McMahon talks about the Hair Match where his man is Umaga. We see Trump’s announcement that his man is Bobby Lashley. We also see Lashley and Umaga battle in the ring despite the presence of security in the ring.
We are live from San Jose, California and your announcers are Joey ‘Do you know the way to here’ Styles and Tazz.
Match Number One: Ken Kennedy versus Sabu in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
Sabu with a single leg take down, but Kennedy with a rake of the eyes. Kennedy with a forearm to the back followed by a slam. Kennedy misses an elbow drop and Sabu punches Kennedy. Sabu tries for a springboard move, but it is countered by Kennedy who hits a belly-to-back suplex for a two count. Kennedy punches Sabu and then he Irish whips Sabu into the corner. Sabu with a boot when Kennedy charges and Sabu hits a springboard elbow. Kennedy goes outside the ring to regroup but Sabu with a baseball slide that sends Kennedy to the ground. Sabu hits a somersault pescado. Sabu goes under the ring to get a chair and then he pulls out a table. Kennedy hits Sabu from behind, but Sabu sets up the table on the floor. Sabu sends Kennedy head first into the ring steps and then he puts Kennedy on the table. Kennedy gets up from the table, but Sabu is still able to hit a double jump double sledge to Kennedy on the floor. Sabu rolls Kennedy back into the ring and he hits a slingshot leg drop from the apron into the ring for a two count. Sabu sets for the triple jump moonsault, but Kennedy trips Sabu as he crosses over and Sabu goes head first into the chair. Kennedy can only get a two count. Kennedy kicks Sabu in the head and then he sets for the running boot across the face. Kennedy gets a two count. Kennedy goes outside and he brings the table to the ring. Sabu with a kick and then he hits a leg drop with Kennedy in the ropes. Sabu sets up the table near the corner and he hits a springboard clothesline. Kennedy lays across the table and Sabu goes up top but he misses a leg drop from the turnbuckle and then Kennedy with a DDT onto the table for the three count.
Winner: Ken Kennedy
We see a limo arrive at the arena and Vince emerges but he is not in a good mood. We go to commercial.
Match Number Two: Balls Mahoney versus Matt Striker
Striker avoids a charge from Mahoney and he punches Balls in the face. Balls responds with punches to Striker’s face and an uppercut. Mahoney goes up top and he hits a leg drop. From out of nowhere, Gene Snitsky comes to the ring and he hits Mahoney with a big boot. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Balls Mahoney (by disqualification)
After the referee’s announcement, Snitsky returns to the ring and he hits Striker with a big boot.
We go to the McOffice, where Vince welcomes everyone to a night of ECW action with Bobby Lashley defend his title inside a steel cage against Bob Holly. Vince says that Donald Trump surprised him by naming Bobby Lashley as his representative at Wrestlemania. Vince says that if Bobby Lashley does not defeat Bob Holly in less than five minutes, Holly becomes the ECW Champion. We go to commercial.
We are back and Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, Kevin Thorn, and Ariel are in the ring.
Match Number Three: Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer (with Sandman) versus Kevin Thorn (with Ariel) and Marcus Cor Von (with Elijah Burke)
Van Dam and Thorn start things off and Thorn with a kick and punch to the head. Thorn with an Irish whip but he charges into a boot and Van Dam with a springboard moonsault for a near fall. Dreamer is tagged in and Van Dam with a drop toe hold followed by an elbow drop from Dreamer for a near fall. Thorn backs Dreamer into the corner but Dreamer with a hip toss and then he punches Thorn and Cor Von in the corner. Thorn uses Cor Von’s interference to take Dreamer down. Cor Von tags in and he punches Dreamer and kicks him. Cor Von with a hard Irish whip and he gets a near fall. Cor Von with a forearm and snap mare into a rear chin lock. Cor Von with punches and then he gets Dreamer up for a slam, but Dreamer floats out of the hold and hits an inverted DDT. Dreamer tries to make the tag and Cor Von grabs Dreamer’s leg, but Dreamer is able to get free and both men make the tag. Van Dam with a clothesline to Thorn followed by a punch to Thorn and Cor Von. Van Dam with a super kick followed by a standing power slam and a split legged moonsault for a two count. Thorn tries to slam Van Dam’s head into the turnbuckle, but Van Dam blocks it and hits a kick and Rolling Thunder. Cor Von breaks up the cover and all four men are in the ring. Dreamer with a kick to Cor Von’s thigh and then he hits a Lou Thesz Press to the floor. Van Dam hits the step over windmill kick on Thorn and then Van Dam goes up top, but Ariel tries to give Thorn his walking stick. When she leans into the ring, she is spanked by a cane shot from Sandman. Burke crotches Van Dam while the referee was distracted. Thorn hits the Dark Kiss for the three count.
Winners: Kevin Thorn and Marcus Cor Von
Rebecca is in the locker room with Bob Holly. Holly says that tonight is his night and he is smiling because there is no one who can beat him in less than five minutes, not even Bobby Lashley with his title on the line. Holly says that he will become the ECW Champion tonight. We go to commercial.
We are back with footage from Deal or No Deal when Edge, Randy Orton, John Cena, and Bobby Lashley appeared. That episode will air on Sunday night.
We see footage from last week’s Money in the Bank match when CM Punk defeated Johnny Nitro to get Punk into a match at Wrestlemania.
Match Number Four: CM Punk versus Stevie Richards
Punk and Richards lock up and they fight outside and back into the ring. Punk blocks a hip toss and hits an arm drag on Richards. Punk with another arm drag and then they lock up again. Richards with a chop and punch in the corner. Punk and Richards exchange kicks to the leg and Richards with a rake of the eyes. Richards with a snap mare followed by a kick to the back and reverse chin lock. Richards with an elbow drop to Punk and he returns to the reverse chin lock. Richards with a knee drop to Punk and then he chokes Punk with his leg. Richards with a neck vice on Punk, but Punk with a kick and rollup. Richards with a kick to Punk in the head for a near fall. Richards returns to the reverse chin lock. Punk gets to his feet and Richards with a side head lock. Richards with chops to Punk and then he puts Punk on the turnbuckles. Richards sets for a superplex, but he waits too long and Punk pushes him off. Punk with a clothesline from the second turnbuckle. Punk with a clothesline and jumping leg lariat and back slaps and a running kick into the corner. Richards gets out of the bulldog, but Punk gets Richards up for the knee from a fireman’s carry position and he gets the three count.
Winner: CM Punk
We see the video package for the Trump/McMahon hype and announcement that Bobby Lashley would be Trump’s representative. We go to commercial.
We are back for the Extreme Expose.
We also see the announcement that Jerry Lawler will be the third inductee for the WWE Hall of Fame.
It is time for the official WWE Cage lowering music as we get ready for the main event.
Match Number Five: Bobby Lashley versus Bob Holly for the ECW Title in a Steel Cage Match
Match
Holly with a kick and punch as the match begins. Lashley with a shoulder tackle and he goes for the cover. Lashley punches Holly and gets a near fall. Lashley sends Holly into the cage two times. Lashley looks at the clock and he kicks Holly on the mat. Lashley with a take down and gets a near fall. Lashley punches Holly. Lashley with an Irish whip and running splash into the corner. Lashley sets for another charge into the corner, but Holly gets his feet up and Lashley goes down. Holly climbs the cage in the corner, but Lashley stops Holly and Lashley climbs up as well. While Holly and Lashley fight on the top turnbuckle, Vince McMahon brings out Umaga and Armando Alejandro Estrada. Holly hits a superplex while Umaga rearranges the ringside area. Umaga throws a chair into the ring and Holly picks it up and he hits Lashley in the head with it. Holly can only get a two count. Holly sets up the chair but Lashley with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Lashley gets the chair and he hits Holly with it. Lashley hits Holly repeatedly with the chair. Lashley sees Umaga at ringside and that causes Lashley to lose focus on Holly. Lashley with another chair shot and then he hits a running power slam for the three count.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
After the match, Umaga freaks out at ringside. Lashley hits a splash that knocks the wall of the cage onto Umaga and both men are down. We go to credits.
