We start with In Memory of Arnold Skaaland.

They recapped Bobby Lashley winning the Masterlock challenge. Great video package making it seem like the biggest thing to happen on Raw in years. They cut to Chris Masters backstage, who said he would break Lashley in half tonight. Joey Styles and Tazz then discussed Lashley vs. Masters in the main event tonight.

1 -- ROB VAN DAM & SABU vs. KEVIN THORN (w/Ariel) & MARCUS COR VON

Rough opening few minutes, with RVD doing a slow-motion spin kick so Thorn had enough time to duck the move. Cor Von then clotheslined RVD off the top rope to the floor. The heels isolated RVD, then he took Thorn over the top rope to the floor with a head scissors. Sabu and Cor Von had an exchange before Thorn distracted Sabu momentarily. Cor Von then absolutely blew up Sabu with The Pounce out of nowhere to score the win. Somewhere, ESPN's Tom Jackson is smiling.

WINNERS: Thorn & Cor Von in 5:00. Sluggish match, but a sick finish. That's a bump made in heaven for WWE's production crew to turn into a huge deal. (3/4*)

Snitsky is up next after a far-too-close-up video look at Snitsky.

[Q2]

2 -- SNITSKY vs. MIKE TOLOR

Snitsky landed a hard slap to the face before catching the poor designated enhancement talent with a big boot for the win.

WINNER: Snitsky in 0:20. Snooze. Another squash. (n/a)

Joey Styles and Tazz talked about the currently announced Hall of Fame inductees, then we saw a video package on The Sheik as the sixth inductee. Some great "Big Time Wrestling" video clips from Detroit with the focus on his fireball.

[Commercial Break]

They showed another Mick Foley video interview on his book. Backstage politics. Divas. Winston Churchill. The book is at #7 on the New York Times bestseller list.

3 -- C.M. PUNK vs. HARDCORE HOLLY

Before the match, Styles talked about Punk being interviewed in Spin Magazine about his music selections. Tazz then talked about Holly's interview in the new WWE Magazine where he says he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him. 30 seconds into the action, Elijah Burke walked out on stage to get a closer look at his new recruit. Punk kicked Holly hard in the back, then he turned and locked eyes with Burke. He went back to work on Holly with right hand blows in the corner before Holly slingshot him across the top rope. Punk fired up and made his comeback as Burke walked closer to the ring to stand next to the apron. Punk then went for a bulldog, but Holly caught him in the corner with a stiff kick to the stomach after Punk blocked an Alabama Slam attempt. They battled up top and Punk knocked Holly off the top rope before hitting a leg drop from the middle rope. Burke then jumped on the apron and distracted the referee, allowing Kevin Thorn to sneak onto the apron and slingshot Holly across the top rope. Punk saw everything happen in front of him, then he picked up Holly and gave him the Go 2 Sleep for the win. Afterward, Burke smiled as Punk looked at Burke with a quizzical look on his face.

WINNER: Punk in 6:00. Interesting twist in the storyline, with Punk not having any qualms about using an unfair advantage to secure a win. Good storyline to follow the coming weeks. (*1/4)

[Q3]

[Commercial Break]

Punk was backstage catching his breath when Burke walked up to him. Punk said he doesn't need anyone's help. Burke said he heard him last week, but the New Breed just wants to look out for him. He reminded Punk of Money in the Bank and said they could take care of him.

Extreme Expose did an '80s rock 'n roll music video routine.

Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman came out for Dreamer's match against Burke.

[Commercial Break]

[Q4]

4 -- TOMMY DREAMER (w/The Sandman) vs. ELIJAH BURKE (w/Matt Striker)

Burke ducked out of the ring in the opening minute after taking a hip toss. Dreamer followed out, but Burke drove him into the ringpost. Dreamer quickly recovered back in the ring and hung up Burke in the corner. He hit a basement dropkick without nearly as much grace as Chris Sabin, then went for a DDT, but Burke blocked the move. He then caught Dreamer with the Elijah Express - a double knee smash to the back of the head - for the win.

WINNER: Burke in 3:00. Formula back-and-forth match. Instead of going for longer matches like last week (e.g. the Orton vs. Lashley debacle), they're going with bite-sized wrestling action that's borderline inconsequential. (1/2*)

They replayed the video package on Lashley breaking the Masterlock last night. Chris Masters then walked out to the ring and he was greeted by silence.

[Commercial Break]

Styles and Tazz plugged Lashley vs. McMahon next week on Raw. They showed a close-up of Masters flexing in the ring as he waited for Lashley to come out. Boy, if that won't add more fuel to the fire on this week's top story in wrestling.

5 -- BOBBY LASHLEY vs. CHRIS MASTERS -- non-title match

In the opening minute, Lashley ran over Masters with a clothesline near the ropes and Masters spilled hard to the floor. On the outside, Masters ducked a clothesline and Lashley ate the ringpost. Masters then rolled Lashley back into the ring.

[Q5 -- over-run]

Masters executed a vertical suplex, then he went for the Masterlock, but Lashley countered with a half-nelson slam. He then caught Masters with a powerslam off the ropes and called for a delayed vertical suplex. Lashley slammed Masters into the corner, then he put him on his shoulders for a running powerslam for the win.

WINNER: Lashley in 3:00. Lashley could use a signature finishing move. The fans barely reacted to anything Lashley did and the catcalls for Masters were noticeable throughout. Another bite-size match that had little resonance with the fans. (1/2*)o
