Edge Letting His WWE Contract Expire

Edge will be letting his WWE contract expire and will decline to sign an extension. As we have been reporting, the company had been working to re-sign him but an agreement couldn’t be reached.

While there is definitely a feeling that WWE “low-balled” his offer, apparently Edge wants to explore his options outside of WWE.

Edge is scheduled for Resistance Pro’s show on May 11, 2012. Click here for more information.

I'm optimistic that we'll see him back later on.

  • Maddin

    Hopefully he won´t join TNA.

I can't believe you think that's even a possibility for Edge. No way in hell brah… lol

  • Pizzaman

Is there anyway that they can offer another contract after he’s gone for a few months

As long as he doesn't sign a contract with another company, WWE can offer him a contract whenever they want.

  • Pizzaman

    Thx

I don’t think WWE sees a TNA signing as a threat. Edge cannot wrestle anymore thus would simply be a part time mic worker.

They lowballed him on purpose to make him want to leave. He been there so long, it's practically home for him. So now he has motivation to leave for a little while because he knows good enough well the (real) offer will always be on the table.

He'll def come back when the time is right. Let him do a few movies, live life while he's young and he'll have a permanent spot in wwe one day.
