Good for WWE for keeping the character. Now if they let him keep his style……

  • Chris

Surprised he agreed to letting them own his name.

Just because he is still using El Generico, doesn’t mean that WWE owns his name, but they can profit off it while he’s there.

This is surely a temporary thing just as same as Daniel Bryan’s name back in FCW was still Bryan Danielson. When he’s debuting on TV then WWE will change his name.

If you mean TV as in RAW or SmackDown then you’re wrong. They’ll have his name and gimmick down months before he debuts on the big shows. If you mean NXT then yes, unless they’ve agreed to let him keep his current gimmick and name like they did with Punk. Thats unlikely because WWE likes to own everything, but knowing how much influence Punk has how its possible.

He accompanied Brodus Clay? So El Generico is a funkadactyl now? Nice job WWE!

  • Ricky

I hope WWE lets him keep his gimmick.
