Evan Bourne Says He’s Grateful To Be With WWE & Can’t Wait To Perform Again

Evan Bourne updated fans on his status with WWE on Twitter on Tuesday. The following is from his verified account:

Bourne has been away from WWE since 2012 after consecutive Wellness Policy violations for testing positive for synthetic marijuana. While out, he was in a car accident where he suffered a career-threatening foot injury. He worked an NXT live event in March 2013 but hasn’t been seen since.

We can confirm that Evan contacted the WWE office about working SummerSlam last year but was told that he wasn’t needed. He was at the WWE Performance Center in February.

This dude has been hurt longer then Derrick Rose

  • MadDawg

I honestly miss him. I really enjoy watching him perform. I think a Bourne/Zayn feud would be incredible.

  • King James

So why not use him in NXT? Do SOMETHING with him. He’s to talented to just be on the sidelines.

    • Ricky

My money is on them forcing him to sit home until his contract expires. Due to the nature of his wellness violations.

I like Evan Bourne, but he needs to get back in there otherwise he will be simply known for taking one of the best RKO’s ever.

  • Bob’s Diner

He deserves an award for being the most clueless person in the world. How he hasn’t gotten the hint by now is hilarious.

    • J Vomkrieg

I reckon he still has a use, as enhancement talent on NXT
