Evan Bourne wrote the following on Twitter:

WWE announced earlier this morning that Bourne had been suspended effective immediately for 60 days for his second violation of their company Wellness Policy.

Really? That's all he has to say? That's one of the most craptastic apologies I've heard in a long time.

    • Wwe4L76

      It was good…

    • Wwe4L76

I wish him all the best in the world!

    • H.M.

Eh, he kinda admitted that he has a problem. At least that's the vibe I got. I don't want to bash on the guy like most of the IWC might be doing now.

    • @RatedMKD

It seems a bit disinegnuous, but I can understand him not wanting to exacerbate matters by discussimg the topic publicly. He clearly felt compelled to apologise, but didn't want to risk further damage to his position in the future. While his best best was to have remained drug-free, I think he handled the circumstances in the best way possible.

I dont know what the hell is going on with Evan Bourne, and I dont have a premium subscription to find out!

He was suspended for using a synergic marijuana. The kind responsible for two (I think) teenage deaths in the states. That was in November. Now, two months after, he’s on his ass for 60 days.

      • MsMojoRisin

yep both deaths happened in texas

      • 1 2 3 KID

1 more and he is shit canned

      • adam

It is synthetic not synergic and why not just smoke the real thing? it has caused no deaths and as far as I know is only a fine in the WWE for testing positive.

    • Alex P

I don't have one either but it was said in another article today. Basically him and R-truth were suspended a few months back for the same thing, and the difference was that the WWE let R-truth work survivor series before serving his suspension. So Bourne basically ended up ratting out truth and got heat from other workers for it.

  • The Breaker

He's not so much apologizing, as saying "I'm ruining my career and wasting my potential for success in WWE." We know you are, Evan. Stop stating the obvious.

  • A Person

why doesn't he just smoke real marijuana. It doesn't kill people and it doesn't cause cancer! I mean if you're gonna get suspended, might as well do the real thing.

    • christopher525

Even better, no suspensions, just a rare fine once in a while for the real stuff.

      • A Person

are you serious! Wow, maaaaan thats just…..Bourne go smoke some kush buddy. Smoke some haze. Leave that fake weed for the birds.

  • stoney

Bourne has just blown any chance of having another decent push in WWE

    • Ricky

Not really true, Jeff Hardy had two wellness strikes on him during the biggest push of his WWE career. Evan has an up hill struggle ahead of him, but he can do it.

      • Alex P

The difference between Hardy and Bourne is that Bourne has never had the crowd reaction that Hardy garnered. I mean I feel like the WWE was very reluctant to push Hardy when they did, and that they felt almost were forced to do it because the pops he would get were over the top

      • LukeT

Different caliber, Bourne is good, but he can’t compete with hardy, he used to get the biggest cheers ive heard

  • joe

bourne should be fired hear and now

  • Jamie

Really? Couldn't learn from the first time you got suspended??

  • MsMojoRisin

Haha its funny because now dr phil is talking about synthetic mary jane i hope bourne is watching

  • KJ Brackish

If I remember correctly, isn't marijuana use just an infraction in which the performer is fined? Either way this is extremely disconcerting as Bourne is one of my favorites — hopefully he can get his head screwed on straight so he can maintain a push from the higher-ups.

    • Me.

You are correct. However, synthetic marijuana, which seems to be all the rage these days, is a full Wellness violation.

Yes, it does seem a bit perplexing that they treat the two differently. However, if they had it to do over again, I don't think they would have put in the marijuana exception when the policy was first created.

It’s not a addiction. It’s just a case of mind over matter

    • XKonn247

I smoke tobacco. I’m addicted. You telling me I can put them down by simply telling myself I can? Not true my friend.

  • Matt

First time, OK, sorry to hear about it, but second time, get your act together, man. You've got a wonderfuljob, loved by fans and WWE was willing to push him, too. I look at all the wrestlers that kept abusing after they were punished and are no longer with us. I'd hate to see that list rise, especially with someone so young

  • HPK

I don't think He has a problem ( Spice isn't addicting ) , He just is careless in what He chooses to partake in recreational !!! Whatever happens with Him and His future , I just hope He gets it together and becomes a better star than He was before , The Dude has loads of potential to be the best !!!

  • Karl

I hate the term “Spice”. It’s not even spicy.

  • bettysteve

some people need to get off the grass, *sigh*, no, not you Evan. (wonder how they would feel if the talent were flabby, flush faced, unco-ordinated drunks instead?)

  • phil

mabey he took his "high" flying persona a bit too seriously. I'll smoke some and try a back flip of the top of the stairs…………
