Fallout Over Aries/Hemme Incident – Christy Comments, Chavo Blames Madden, Richard Reacts

The fallout on Twitter continues after Mark Madden, citing comments from a Spike TV executive, reported that Austin Aries will face disciplinary action following the incident involving Christy Hemme at last week’s Impact Wrestling taping (See also – Austin Aries Will Be Disciplined For Christy Hemme Incident).

Hemme Tweeted:

Chavo Guerrero shifted his blame towards Madden and said if Hemme were legitimately bothered by it he would have done something. He says she wasn’t upset at all. The following is from his verified Twitter account:

I’m not blaming Madden, as a reporter, I would have done the same thing. He was getting comments from an executive. I emailed Aries to give him an opportunity to be quoted but didn’t hear back. You can read my reaction to the incident at the link below:

On Madden’s own wrestling site, he’s been bashing the incident and blowing it out of proportion since it happened, and has even posted a blog stating Aries should fired for sexual harassment. Madden isn’t just reporting the news, he’s doing everything he can to make it a bigger deal than it is until something happens (which has obviously worked). If you’d like I could post a link

We don’t want to link to an outside wrestling site. I haven’t read his blogs and didn’t know he was pushing for Aries to be fired. Wow, kind of harsh.

After having watched this for the second time, if Christy thought it was a big deal then she would not have been smiling and laughing when it happened. Do I think it was right? NO But obviously it didn’t bother her while it was happening.
