Fellow Republican Accuses WWE Of Peddling Soft-Core Porn In Attempt To Attack Linda McMahon

Linda McMahon’s opponent Christopher Shays, who is challenging her for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination to replace retiring Connecticut senator Joe Lieberman, accused WWE of peddling “soft-core porn” and said the organization in which McMahon worked for promoted bullying.

WWE spokesman Robert Zimmerman refuted Shays’ claims, pointing towards WWE’s PG programming, their Be-A-Star anti-bullying campaign and the hypocritical fact that Shays actually supported the company’s SmackDown Your Vote campaign.

I think it is gret that wwe officials stand up for the company. face it, pro wrestling will always have a stigma to it .

people who hate pro wrestling will always see it as mindless garbage or fake violence etc, however they have no right to bash wwe for wrestling deaths when a majority of them occurred outside wwe and wwe had no legal responsibility in their occurrences.

Softcore porn? Really?? It's comments like that that make me want to support Linda McMahon's next Senate bid. What an idiot!

  • Bmac4395

Soft core porn? That is pure ignorance. However, WWE does promote bullying. But hey, that’s pro wrestling. We know it’s just a spectacle and nothing else. Like we know that Shays obviously has a few screws loose.

Wrestling is true to itself. It does not pretend to be something it isn't. Contrast it with the phony Bachelor and Bachelorette shows which are PURELY fake. They're already planning their phony "break up" and followup "brokenhearted" interviews in the tabloid magazines, yet the same people who eat this up look down on wrestling.

It's amazing how low a person can go just to make a complete fool out of themselves.

    Soft-core porn? really? Really?! REALLY?!?!?!

U.S. politics is less about actually fixing things and more about who can throw the most mud the farthest…

  • MPXTheChoice

It hasn't been soft-core porn since Eric Bischoff and Edge/Lita. Hardly relevant now.

what soft porn would that be i watch every week and see nothing that can be considered as porn of any degree why dont politicians look at what good they can do instead of just trying to smear their apponiant
