As we reported last week here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com, Scott Steiner dropped his lawsuit against TNA Wrestling in regards to royalties and the accounting of said royalties. We're told TNA had to "pony up" a substantial sum to reach a settlement and make the lawsuit go away. Apparently there is fear internally that this could "open the floodgates" for other former talents, also disgruntled from the past, to file similar suits.
One insider says the TNA royalty accounting system was "primitive" and "completely inaccurate," but has been overhauled in light of Steiner's litigation. Some of the top stars have been told in the future their royalty statements will be much clearer and less confusing and that any grievances should be brought to the office's attention immediately.
