Full Smackdown Taping Results For Tonight

WWE taped this week’s Smackdown tonight from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Below are full results:

Smackdown (Airing Friday on SyFy)

Sheamus opens the show with a promo to remind the crowd that he is waiting until after the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view to decide which title he will challenge for at WrestleMania XXVIII. He is then interrupted by Wade Barrett, who boasts about his future victory in the Elimination Chamber. Cody Rhodes interrupts Barrett shortly after and says the same thing, and Big Show comes out to do the same. This ended up turning into a four-man brawl with Sheamus and Big Show clearing the ring of the heels. A tag match between the teams of Big Show & Sheamus and Wade Barrett & Cody Rhodes is announced for tonight.

* The Great Khali b. Jinder Mahal with the Punjabi Plunge.

Teddy Long is backstage discussing the ongoing suspension of Mark Henry before being interrupted byDaniel Bryan, who implores Long and the audience to become vegans.

Beth Phoenix b. Alicia Fox with the Glam Slam. Phoenix continued to assault Fox after the match, butTamina ran down to make the save for Fox. Tamina then stared Phoenix down.

Natalya is backstage with Tyson Kidd. Kidd ends up farting and Hornswoggle blames it on Natalya.

Big Show & Sheamus b. Wade Barrett & Cody Rhodes. Sheamus got the pin after hitting a Brogue Kick.

Michael Cole interviews AJ in the ring about her condition following her injury caused by The Big Show. Cole says that everyone thinks that Daniel Bryan set her up to get injured and says that AJ and her boyfriend will end up as mere footnotes in WWE history, which causes Bryan to interrupt. Bryan yells at Cole, saying he’s had enough of this and threatens to break Cole’s arms, which scares Cole out of the ring. He then goes on a tirade to the crowd about not being a footnote, being a role model, and being vegan, saying he’s better because he didn’t partake in the gluttony while watching the Super Bowl last weekend. He says that he’s taking AJ home right now and they walk backstage. Teddy Long walks up to them and tells Bryan that if he leaves the arena now, he’ll automatically forfeit his World Heavyweight Championship.

* Ted DiBiase b. Hunico

Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton is the main event, and The Big Show is on commentary. During the match, Bryan grabs his title and attempts to leave, but Big Show grabs him and throws him back into the ring. Orton then hits an RKO and pins Bryan, but the referee calls for the bell before the pin is counted. Since Big Show interfered, Daniel Bryan wins by disqualification. Orton gets mad at Show and a brawl breaks out between the two on the outside, as Bryan walks up the ramp with his title.

    Are they ever going to give Byran a clean victory? Its getting to be absolutely crazy and just plain annoying. I understand that you want him to hold the title for a while to give it some prestige and credit, but it makes seem like a joke if the only way he can win a match is by disqualification.

      I agree with the meh match ending but also you want to protect one of your top guys in Orton but at the same time protect your WHC Daniel Bryan. Remember the match between Punk and Bryan on Raw. Great match but the ending had to happen that way with Jericho interfering in order to protect the credibility of both champions.

    Honestly I don't know if Bryan is gonna still be WHC after Elimination Chamber. It could happen but him vs Sheamus at Wrestlemania? I think that would be a good match but will Vince allow it to….that's the real question.

    I'm not sure a lot of people dissatisfied with Bryan's direction really get his character.

    Bryan needs to continue getting cheap, phony wins. Not only is it an easy way to get heat (and to make people actually want to see him get beat, which is one of the most important things a heel can create), but it elevates his character more. His character is that he believes his own hype, now that he has the title. He believes that he's above everyone else, when he isn't (in kayfabe, anyways). To get big, decisive wins would actually undermine his current character. It's important that he doesn't actually back it up right now. He's deluded and manipulative right now, that is who he is. Maybe down the line, when his character is altered, he can be the submission machine we all want to see, but right now, Bryan is being booked exactly how he should be.

    orton's reptilian type gimmick/snake gimmick/apex predator gimmick sucks!

    Chris Jericho is in the RAW elimination chamber not the Smackdown one. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Jericho ain't gonna be the next champion even if the Best in the world does happen to lose. Besides, the Smackdown elimination chamber is more dangerous than the Raw one this year and nevermind the fact that Punk is a better wrestler and champion than Bryan could ever hope to be. So next time before you comment you might wanna make sure that what you are typing is actually truthful. I mean, you already sound ridiculous but when you screw up such an easy fact you look just plain retarded. I'm just sayin', I'm just sayin'.
