That’s a shocker. Why would anyone love a job where they get paid millions of dollars to be on TV all the time as a World Champion?

I wonder if they also asked if he enjoys being champion and hero to millions?

    • anon

As strange as it may seem to you, a high profile case in the nfl can show you how making millions and being looked up to by millions can not be a good working environment.

    • Avalanchian

I’d be happy as a mid-card making millions too.

    • Best In The World

You can deny it all you want, but your the biggest Cena hater ever. Lol, what I wanna know is why you take the time to comment on everything Cena related.

      • Bob’s Diner

What is wrong with you? Every time I make a comment on any article you act like I am attacking John Cena. Please explain where I was being a “hater” towards him this time?

    • Xavier

Yeah, Because being on the road 300 days a year, being heckled by ignorant fans on a nightly basis inside arenas, or on twitter, being disliked by half your peers for because of your success, wrestling 20-30 minute matches 4-5 days a week, working banged up or injured half the time, living out of a suitcase, being away from family & friends for long stretches, trying to fulfill wishes for ill kids, keeping up with all the media appearances he has to do and having basically no private life is always so glorious. It’s nowhere near as easy as you try to imply it to be. Most people couldn’t handle being in that spot, some wrestlers may think they could but they really can’t. Just ask Brock Lesnar about it. The main reason he left in 2004 was because of all the mental & physical stress that came along with being the top guy and all the travel.

      • Bob’s Diner

And that’s why Lesnar left – he didn’t enjoy it. If John Cena didn’t enjoy what he does then he could leave, too. That’s why I think it is a stupid question to ask him. He obviously enjoys what he does or he wouldn’t keep doing it, getting injured, coming back and working non-stop. It even shows on screen that he likes his job.

How the usual suspects think I was attacking John Cena by making fun of a stupid question is beyond me. I think you guys are a bit sensitive when it comes to him.

        • Xavier

I think you may be sensitive as well sir. It seems to really bother you when anyone says anything remotely positive or nice about Cena.

          • Bob’s Diner

If I were interviewing John Cena, I don’t think I’d bother asking him if he still enjoys working for WWE. He obviously does. That was all I was meaning – no problem with Cena expressing that.

Want to know how much I hate John Cena?
My absolute favorite moment from WrestleMania XXVI… when John Cena won the WWE title and went out of the ring to pose with the guys in the front row wearing anti-John Cena t-shirts with a big smile on his face. I loved that. Showed how much of a sense of humour he obviously has. And watching the guys who supposedly hate him mark out and take pictures with him made me laugh even more

      • GOR

Well, no 1 is making Cena to do all the hardwork for such a long time.
He could have passed on the torch to punk or somebody else n moved on to a sideroll like HBK or Taker in their later years.
U don’t think that WWE would shutdown without him do u ? Obviously they would have found somebody new for this role.

But no ! Cena loves his Position, money & posh life (Total Divas) too much to let go. He still wants to keep winning championships & take the limelight for himself; regardless of how unfair it is to others (Sandow !). Maybe that’s y his coworkers hate him that much.

If he was really concerned so much about his family n friendz he would bought a house in boston instead of Tampa. & he would have settled down at this age. But no! that’s not him.

He doesn’t even seem to care that his character/gimmick has become kids’ play. Most adult fans boo him. He is portrayed as Superman of WWE n yet wants to be considered as an average guy. His storylines of how good always beats evil are out of comicbooks & are many times unfair towards other wrestlers who are in the middle of a push (as in Ziggler).

His squeaky clean image in the ring has become boring & is in contrast to what he has done in his personal life (marriage). Personally I think he is more like Tiger Woods of WWE.

Any sensible guy who took pro-wrestling, the fans & his own Character seriously would have tried more variations with his character like Punk, Ortan or Bryan. But Cena always wants to be the good guy so that he can remain face of the company & rake-in the money.

I can really go on about this for whole night but the main point is that he loves his job for more selfish reasons than what many of you seem to think.

I kno many people will call me a Cena Hater. But yeah I do hate Cena for all the valid reasons I have mentioned above n more, which u will completely ignore. Just like how twilight fans ignore faults in the series n continue chanting.

Oh wait ! That’s another perfect comparison I found for Cena, The Twilight Series. High on the Hype Low on the Content !

        • Xavier

          Blah Blah Blah.

“He doesn’t even seem to care that his character/gimmick has become kids’ play. Most adult fans boo him. He is portrayed as Superman of WWE n yet wants to be considered as an average guy. His storylines of how good always beats evil are out of comicbooks & are many times unfair towards other wrestlers who are in the middle of a push (as in Ziggler).”

Lol. he doesn’t care? Interesting, because he seems to care a great deal about his fans, hints, that’s why he does so many charity events (Make A Wish, Fight Against Breast Cancer, Kids’ Choice Awards)

“But no ! Cena loves his Position, money & posh life (Total Divas) too much to let go. He still wants to keep winning championships & take the limelight for himself; regardless of how unfair it is to others (Sandow !). Maybe that’s y his coworkers hate him that much.”

Interesting you bring up Sandow. Ever since Sandow cashed in last Monday on Cena, he’s received high praise from the locker room and is in a better position then he was a couple of weeks ago. Oh and you brought up how Cena likes the limelight for himself, well that’s funny because guys like Big E Langston, Cody Rhodes, The Miz & Sheamus would disagree with you. They have said on numerous occasions how Cena went out of his help them out early in their careers. Last I recall Cena also put Edge, RVD & Sheamus over for their 1st major title victories. He had no problem putting over and sharing the spotlight with CM Punk in 2011. He had no problem jobbing clean to Daniel Bryan at this past Summerslam as well.

“His squeaky clean image in the ring has become boring & is in contrast to what he has done in his personal life (marriage). Personally I think he is more like Tiger Woods of WWE.”

How is he the Tiger Woods of the WWE? He’s been in a committed relationship with Nikki Bella for over a year now. Cena also dated Kelly Kelly after him & his wife had separated. so again how is he the Tiger Woods of the WWE?

“Any sensible guy who took pro-wrestling, the fans & his own Character seriously would have tried more variations with his character like Punk, Ortan or Bryan. But Cena always wants to be the good guy so that he can remain face of the company & rake-in the money.”

What exactly has Punk tried that’s different, he completely ripped off Chris Jericho’s “BEST IN THE WORLD” gimmick from 2008-2009 and stole Savage’s flying elbow. Bryan points his fingers in the air screams YES at the top of his lungs. A grown man jumping up and down and screaming YES is as kiddy & corny as it gets. What the hell has Orton changed in the last 10 years? Not a damn thing! And last I checked those guys are raking in the money as well.

“Oh wait ! That’s another perfect comparison I found for Cena, The Twilight Series. High on the Hype Low on the Content !”

You seem to know a lot about the Twilight Series for someone who claims they don’t like corny, kiddy stuff. So I’m gonna go ahead and assume that you are a fan of the series seeing how your able to draw such accurate comparisons.

You lose, nice try though. Come stronger then that bro.

          • GOR

I said “He doesn’t even seem to care that his character/gimmick has become kids’ play”. I dont kno how u connected that to what he does with fans & events.
I was talking about his character/Gimmick & not wat he does for fans & events.

Cena did not job to Bryan. He was injured & had to leave. Otherwise he would have stayed champion. Cena put over RVD & edge for title victories ? For wat ? only to reclaim the tile after 1-2 months ? & U say cena put over Punk & shared the spotlight with him ? Really ? Punk was clearly responsible for his own rise ! n why did he had to turn face & become a heel to cena if cena was putting him over. Cena could hav turned heel. Instead cena took every main-event even though punk was the champ !

With sandow, its funny how things work in WWE. How a guy who at his peak loses to another guy whos injured & got beat-down before the match, gets in a better position coz of this loss is incomprehensible. Any champion other than cena would have lost.

But yes this is not cena’s fault. This is faulty booking. I accept that I have blamed him for some faulty booking which is out of his control. But he could still do better than just going along with it !

Moving on, You are talking about stuff he did after marriage. what about why his marriage fell apart ? Its a story similar to tiger woods. all hidden behind The squeaky clean image. That’s y I called him Tiger Woods of WWE.
Wait Kelly dated cena too ? is there any1 in top roster she did not date ? is dating a right word for it ? anyway…….

R u seriusly saying Punk, Bryan n Ortan have no variations in their characters ? what about the different face turns ? the stables ? & teams ? & mid-card level storylines ?
Ortan’s whole anti-hero persona is a variation from a normal face. When did Cena do all this ?

Bryan’s chants were supposed to be for comedy (another variation !). IF they have gotten over n made him more hyped than cena is then I m quite grateful for it.

About Twilight, no I m not a fan, though I did read the 1st book [Unfortuanately !]. U dont have to be a fan of somthing to kno something about it. I kno smthing about twilight because of all the hype n constant discussion that’s going on about it in media. Plus having ur cousin sisters n female friends foolishly n blindly loving it doesn’t help either. Hard to ignore ! Quite like cena actually. I really try to ignore him, but he is always there in the main event or sm title picture or starting off raw ! Again this is not completely his fault. I accept that.

Moving on, I dont think ther’s any1 in WWE who makes as much money as Cena does; through films n commercials.
Cena does hard-work I have recognized that in my post but like I have said he is no saint as his fans make him out to be. He gets big dividends for it.

& Come stronger next time ? Dude I did not even mention his limited & boring skill set, repeatative mic jobs n storylines. Like I have said I could go on about it.
Cena is nothing compared to AJ styles who is better in all thij aspects but is stuck in a wrong place !

You would be surprized to kno that I once was cena’s fan, When he was a hustler, who did raps, funny promos & had chains & necklaces & numerous catch-phrases which I remember to this day. when i get really bored of his current gimmicks I put on his old videos with his old music to see how cool he really was.

But that was too controversial. So they changed him into a marine & Mr. always nice guy. & unfortunately he’s still stuck there. n he himself doesn’t seem to care. He’s sold out. That’s it, HE’S SOLD OUT !
