Hulk Hogan Disagrees With Dixie Carter Over Jeff Hardy

Hulk Hogan isn’t happy that Jeff Hardy has been off Impact Wrestling the past month as the company has aired shows taped from the United Kingdom.

“Dixie runs the company, but if it was up to me and it had been my decision, Bobby Roode would have been a great champion to have right now,” Hogan told Fighting Spirit Magazine. “The (UK) tour plus a champion makes sense; a tour with no champion doesn’t make sense. [But] I choose my battles; some people look at the picture differently to how I do.”

Bobby Roode should be champion. Instead we got a guy who can’t wrestle and relies on “cool spotz” to get over.

    • Mike Love

Jeff Hardy’s “cool spotz” have made him one of the biggest and popular wrestlers in the industry today. Everybody has “spots” to get them over (I could list numerous, numerous bumps) and Jeff Hardy is just known to have more. That doesn’t mean he can’t wrestle.

    • Mike Love

And he doesn’t “rely” on them. It’s his persona. The Charasmatic/Extreme Enigma is his nickname. Him and his brother were known as “Team Xtreme”. He’s part of the reason Ladder/TLC/Extreme Rules matches are what they are today, in concept.

      • http://twitter.com/thepowerserge thepowerserge

At this point in his career, however, Jeff should reconsider his “Extreme Enigma” moniker and become a more RELIABLE guy, especially considering he’s supposed to be their champion.

        • Matt

Drug charges from what was it, half a decade ago are hardly a measuring stick for today.

      • PFElton

Yeah, because what staple does Pro Wrestling have but TLC Matches.

People seriously need to unscrew themselves with this indie “XTREME” bullshit.

    • Jimmy

Those “cool spotz” gave us some of the greatest moments in wrestling history. The Hardys TLC matches with Edge & Christian + The Dudleys. If you go to youtube and type in WWE’s most extreme moments i can guarantee you that you will not find a compilation without a move from Jeff Hardy.

      • PFElton

Greatest moments in wrestling history being some scrawny punks doing high spots? WWE’s most “EXTREME MOMENTS” supposed to be some kind of catalogue for industry-defining material? No.

        • http://www.facebook.com/robert.olley.7 Robert Olley

All the tlc marches involving the hardys, dudleys and e+c were industry defining wouldnt be mitb, tlc or alot of the spots we see if them matches never happened lik rollins at tlc last year

          • PFElton

Um, again, no. Hogan slamming Andre, Stone Cold’s KOTR speech, Goldberg winning the Title, Fingerpoke of Doom, Bret and Shawn hugging, etc. are real industry defining moments. Not, as aforementioned, some scrawny kids doing trampoline tricks on ladders.

          • Matt

are you seriously calling the finger poke of doom industry defining!? You delusional little idiot

          • http://www.facebook.com/robert.olley.7 Robert Olley

I would love you to go on youtube and look for jack evans or teffy hart or PAC theyve the same build as jeff but much more impressive

        • Jimmy

Those “scrawny punks” ended up becoming a WWE Hall Of Famer (Edge), 22 time tag team champions and 2 of the biggest names currently in TNA (The Dudleys) a former WH Champion and veteran in -ring technician (Christian) and a former WH & WWE champion and current TNA champion also arguably one of the biggest fan favorites in wrestling (Jeff Hardy).

          • Mike Love

            And then there’s Matt Hardy.

          • Mike Love

            Who hasn’t done much.

          • Jimmy

            Agreed

  • Like

Totally agree with Hogan… Wait, did I really just say that?

  • Terra Ryzing

Never thought I’d say this but I agree with Hogan.

  • lbp365

Hulk is right, but not totally because I think between Jeff unable due to his case or not this was a chance for someone like Bully Ray maybe to have a short run then Jeff could have had regain it leading to James Storm at Slammerversy and Bobby Rhoode should b your BFG guy. Note see who the WWE since befor e november setting up for wrestlemania.

    • Xavier

      English please?

      • Just saying

Your one to talk Mr. “this isn’t grammar class”

  • Stoney

Back in 2011 The Hulkster didn’t think Roode was ready to be a main eventer and said that Jeff Hardy should be the TNA champion if he could keep it together.
I never thought i’d agree with Hogan, Jeff shouldn’t even have a job let alone be TNA world heavyweight champion

  • Michael

This is why tna would never be in the same league as wwe because if a company head continues to bury Vince and his decisions they’d be fired. Dixie doesn’t need Hogan at all the company wasn’t making the best storylines before him with Russo however with Jarrett the morel in the locker room was better. Hogan is a man that is bitter because spike TV turned him down so he wants to destroy tna. Roode was a great champion and well deserved and I hope he gets another run however you don’t continue to bury the champion or the company. Hogan contradicts himself months ago before Hardy won the bound for glory tournament Hogan did an interview when roode was champion and he stated that if he had his way Hardy would be champion right now fast forward now he does another interview but switches the wrestlers around.

  • http://www.facebook.com/scott.davies.391 Scott Davies

Well when you also think about it. What has Jeff done as Champion. What moments stand out. Really i think Jeff peaked when he won the WWE Title. Ever since the only note worthy thing he has done since was his Heel turn. But that is it. Nothing else. I agree with Hogan on this one & what is Divie going to do to Hogan for speaking out. His name is bigger than TNA has & will ever be.

  • Jimmy

Like him or not Jeff Hardy is a veteran and has competed against some of the best in the industry to put on remarkable matches. Undertaker, Triple H, Edge, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Austin Aries, AJ Styles. Just to name a few.

    • PFElton

Jeff Hardy is a spot monkey. Being a spot monkey does not make your matches remarkable.

      • Jimmy

Then what did make those matches remarkable?

      • Razmos

This guy is obviously old, use to the old school wrestling, i grew up watching Hogan and that era, but it did not compare to the attitude era and the risks that “the scrawny punks” if not the whole roster started to take, i love the big spots in wrestling, without them it would be boring sleeper holds and a game of peanuts!!

  • k! ng

An amazing talent who leaves it all in the when he performs…. as long as he’s not completely f’d up during a ppv main event with sting.

  • Brian in Toledo

Hang on here. When Roode was champ didn’t Hogan say he wasn’t ready yet in a Media interview? Now it’s Hardy? This guy has to be the Man, brother, no matter what. Bully Ray had great heat, and even started winning over the crowd. Now he’s second fiddle in the Hogan Klan. Had to “marry” Brooke and win Hogan over. Abyss was a killer. Hogan shows up and he becomes a complete Hogan mark, with his old music and HOF ring. What a joke. When he walked in the door, the ENTIRE focus of TNA became Hogan, Bischoff, Nastys, Flair, etc. They got rid of the 6 sided ring, which was the ONLY thing that branded them as something other than a place for ex WWE guys. When the young guys were showcased, it was alongside these idiots for guidance. They jobbed out Joe. put Styles in a BS angle, Split Beer Money AND MCMG.It’s been abortion after abortion as far as direction goes and here’s Hogan running his mouth how Hardy is not his choice as champ. Take out the stupid mullett extensions, the stupid bandana, get off of my tv, and leave the wrestling business. His personal (public) life has ruined any mainstream credibility and he’s been holding the wrestling business back for years. They took Dixie for every nickle they could because Hogan’s wife took half of his money. Stick with Rent a center commercials, and let TNA use the salary they pay you and your cronies to develop new talent and PROMOTE the brand.

  • lbp365

What I was saying they miss the opportunity to give Bully Ray a short run if that’s what they wanted to do on this tour and if it didn’t work out as him being champion Jeff could had won it back after the tour and Rhoode true was a great champion, but his shine comes at BFG.

  • http://www.facebook.com/robert.olley.7 Robert Olley

Its not a choice jeff cant enter the uk because off all his drug problems. But tna meed a champion thats dependable and can tour with the roster. And dont start that jeffs been reliable since coming back he was reliable for months at a time then fell off the wagon he never atended rehab or anything just a fine so hell fall again and tna will be left in the tish

  • Xavier

Quit complaining all you Hardy marks. Fact is neither Roode, Bully or Hardy should be champion, TNA shouldn’t even be on television. Its a joke just like its wrestlers. Only a mark would comment on a article like this.

    • Mike Love

That makes no sense. You’re trashing other people commenting on this but you commented on this. Twice.

    • Dangerous Lee

“Only a mark would comment on a article like this.” LOL IDIOT.

  • soulfool

Awwwwww…this sh** will NEVER be resolved , will it ?!? There are those are jealous that the little guys aka Vanilla Midget’s (Thanx , Kev) get over The “Big Boy’s” that VKM so strokes to nightly , and then make backstage , bullsh^% politics over it , and cry cause it “just doesn’t seem believeable” !!! The Hardy’s helped “MAKE” the Attitude Era w/ their dare-devil theatrics that Legends like Ric Flair , Hulk Hogan , and several others referred to as “stuntmen” , along w/ Edge/Christian , The Dudley Boy’s , Mick Foley , and others !!! If We all agreed on everything , The World would End !!!

  • soulfool

Hulk Hogan , Sting , Ric Flair , Kevin Nash , Sean Waltman , and several other waste-of-space “Legend’s” need to just GO AWAY !!!

  • soulfool

TNA is just a continuation of WCW/Hogan/Bischoff/Sting , and where and when that all cease’s to exist…THEN , TNA will thrive , and not keep getting buried w/ almost two decade old shit !!!

  • soulfool

    TERRY…TERRY…TERRY…SHUT THE FU&% UP , ALREADY !!!
