Hogan was instrumental in bringing Flair to TNA Wrestling in 2010 as they had just finished working together on the Hulkamania Tour 2009 in Australia. Earlier this year, Flair decided he wanted to return to WWE and no-showed his dates with TNA. This prompted TNA to file a lawsuit against WWE for alleged contract tampering, specifically mentioning Flair.
As a result, WWE issued a hiring freeze of all former TNA talents or anyone that worked there while former office worker Brian Wittenstein was employed. As I wrote earlier here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com, Flair is not under WWE contract.
