Hulk Hogan Files $50 Million Lawsuit Against Laser Spine Institute

The Tampa Bay Times is reporting that Hulk Hogan has filed a $50 million lawsuit against the Tampa-based Laser Spine Institute, saying the clinic performed unnecessary surgeries that damaged his career.

The lawsuit claims the Laser Spine Institute performed multiple unnecessary endoscopic surgical procedures that further destabilized his already existing injured back. Hogan also alleges his likeness was used for an endorsement without payment or permission.

As a med student, I highly doubt Hogan is aware of what exact endoscopic surgical procedures he actually required over the years. Doctors look at the problem and try to solve it the best way they can. If Hogan consented to the “miscellaneous” surgeries, he probably doesn’t have a case except for the possible likeness issue.
