Identity Of Jack Swagger's New Manager, Added To Elimination Chamber Match

Dutch Mantel, working as the American patriot Zeb Coulter, debuted as Jack Swagger's manager on this week's WWE Raw.

Mantel, a real-life Vietnam War veteran, is a semi-retired pro wrestler and was seen as the mastermind behind TNA's stellar Knockout division during its glory days and was also a writer for Ring Ka King in India.

Speaking of Swagger, he was officially added to the Elimination Chamber match to determine the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 29.

That promo was a bit past how far I thought they’d go. Not sure how I feel about it, especially since I have been enjoying Swagger since his return.

Wonder if they’ll have any connection to JBL mentioned, since it’s HIS “uncle” Zeb.

    • No, he’s not JBL’s uncle – but Mantell was known as ‘Uncle Zeb’ during a previous run in WWE as a manager.

      • Chris

I know that, hence the quotation marks on the word uncle…

No former wwe/world heavyweight champion has had a bigger fall from grace than Jack Swagger, It’s good to see Swagger is regaining his swagger

Can someone please tell Cole & The King this guy’s name is Thwagger?

  • BlazeKing

Let me say this: This is the WRONG angle for Jack Swagger. The rating bar for the video over on WWE’s youtube page shows how much the crowd did not like it. It’s not even kayfabe hate, it’s real hate.

    • Nostaljack

I agree so far. Zeb added next to nothing to the way I perceive Swagger. He likely could get over all by himself and probably doesn’t need the kind of help Mantel is providing. Of course, it’s still early so I’ll withhold my judgments about it until more time passes.

Real hate got Vickie over also, sometimes it takes being able to bust your ass to get that real hate to become kayfabe laced with respect.

I didn’t even recognize “Dirty” Dutch Mantel. I never saw him as Zeb when he was in the WWE before. I watched Mantel in the old days when he was wrestling for MIdSouth Wrestling and the like.
