Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling!
The show begins with a video package of the new Investor. Dixie Carter’s TNA is in jeopardy. Also, last week, Sting lost his match against Magnus being forced to leave Impact Wrestling.
Magnus with EC3 and Rockstar Spud, make their way to the ring. Magnus says the champ is speaking. Magnus says he forgot they are in Scotland, so he speaks slower. Magnus says a few of the boys in the back have a problem with one of their friends no longer being with them in TNA. Magnus says Sting has fallen to the Reign of Magnus, like Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles. Magnus says Sting had a hell of a run, but all good things must come to an end. Magnus says it’s not show friends, it is show business. Magnus says in business there is a term when they get rid of dead weight, called thinning the herd. Magnus says Dixie Carter and himself have decided to rid TNA of the dinosaurs that were lumbering around. Magnus says they will make way for the new stars of the business, like the BroMans and Zema Ion, Rockstar Spud and himself. EC3 questions why Magnus thinks he did it single handed. They begin to argue, but Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe interrupt.
Kurt and Joe clear the ring. Angle says he isn’t avenging the thinning of the herd, but the screwing of it. Angle said saying bye to Sting was one of the hardest things he had to do. Angle says Sting was right, and Magnus will go down in history as a paper champion. Magnus says he should choose his words carefully before he regrets it. Angle says the only thing he regrets is letting Magnus join the Main Event Mafia. Kurt says he wanted Magnus to become somebody. Magnus says it was because he was something, and he is now Champion and that kills them. Joe says the only that is killing them is that he is still breathing and came to kick his ass. Magnus makes a tag match between them two and himself with EC3. Magnus says if they win, both of them are gone from TNA for good. Joe says if they lose they have to leave, but says if they win, they will become #1 contenders. Joe says he knows the stakes are high for a paper champion. Magnus accepts the stipulation. Dixie Carter interrupts.
Carter says that match will not happen. Magnus questions why Carter is telling him what he can and can’t do. Carter says the new investor is on his way and can’t take the chance of them losing. Magnus says he will see them in the ring.
In the parking lot, the new investor arrives.
Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards tell the cameraman they will find out who the investor is tonight.
Knockout’s Champion Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim and Lei’d Tapa
Rayne is attacked, as Kim runs and connects with a Lariat. Pin, but a kick out. Kim connects with elbows and charges to Madison in the corner. Rayne gets her legs up, and connects with a Clothesline to Kim on the apron. Sky connects with elbows and a Neckbreaker. Sky connects with a Running Bulldog. Pin, but a kick out. Rayne connects with a Spear and a Dropkick to Tapa. Sky connects with a Double Underhook Facebuster.
Winners: Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky (Pinfall)
Chris Sabin makes his way to the ring. Sabin yells at Madison to leave. Sabin says he calls and texts and tweets Sky, and doesn’t hear anything. Sabin says girlfriends are not supposed to cost their boyfriends title matches. Sabin says he doesn’t know if it is her time of the month, or what. Sabin says if she apologizes they will just move on. Sky breaks up with Sabin.
Backstage, Joe and Kurt speak of not going out the way Sting and Styles went out. They grab Bobby Roode and run off.
Angle is beating on Roode, because he thinks Roode will cost them their jobs. Joe grabs him by the neck, saying the only reason he isn’t crushing his neck, is because he wants him to think of what will happen to him if he interferes.
James Storm makes his way to the ring. Storm says a lot of people don’t know that he and Gunner were good friends before he was in TNA. They became Tag Champs, but something along the way fell apart. Storm calls out Gunner, as he makes his way to the ring. Gunner says they both came to TNA to be great and be remembered. Gunner says they traveled together, worked out together and got into bar fights. Gunner says when he got the briefcase, he had to make a decision that will effect his career, wife and son. Gunner says Storm would have done the same thing for his kids. Gunner says Storm knows his story, while in the Marine Core, watching his friends fall. Gunner says he didn’t fight for the government, he fought for the man beside him. Gunner says on the battlefield, he left everything. Gunner says some friends didn’t make it back alive. Gunner says in this ring, he and Storm left it in the ring. Gunner says they fought beside each other. Storm says Gunner is one hell of a wrestler. Storm says he is just a redneck that likes to be a father and drink beer, but his kids are the most important things to him. Storm said everything he said to Gunner, he should have said to himself. Storm says he is proud of him and has Gunner’s back. Storm apologizes and shakes his hand.
Bad Influence interrupt. Kazarian calls Storm a monkey fart, and says no one will believe him. Kazarian says he knows Storm is all beer and no brains, but doesn’t want Gunner to believe him. Kazarian says Storm desires beer and ugly fat women, but also the World Heavyweight Championship. Daniels says they have a tag match together, and if Gunner trusts Storm enough, he can put his briefcase on the line. Gunner and Storm attack Bad Influence, making the match official.
Gunner and James Storm vs. Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian)
Storm hits Kaz in the corner, and tags Gunner. Gunner whips Kazarian, but is reversed. Gunner is brought in the corner, and kicked. Daniels is tagged, as the both connects with kicks and a Clothesline to the back of his head. Daniels does a Snapmare, and a Slingshot Elbow. Kaz is tagged, as he does a Slingshot Legdrop. Pin, but a kick out. Daniels gets in the ring, but is tolled up. The ref is distracted. Daniels connects with an Enziguri. Daniels goes for the Angel’s Wings, but Storm is tagged. James connects with a Running Forearm. Storm connects with a Clothesline. Storm is sent on the apron, but connects with an Enziguri. Storm connects with a Crossbody. Pin, but a kick out. Storm picks up Daniels, but Kaz tags. Gunner is tagged, as he cleans house. Gunner connects with a Slingshot Suplex. Daniel goes to stop Gunner, but eats a Superkick. Gunner connects with a Diving Headbutt for the win.
Winners: Gunner and James Storm (Pinfall)
Dixie Carter is backstage talking with Spud, telling him to figure out who the investor is.
A Samoa Joe video package is shown.
Carter has Roode in her office. Roode says he wants a shot at the World Championship at Lockdown, like Carter said. Roode said she promised him. Roode says she has 1 week, and until she figures it out, he is not helping.
Eric Young is backstage talking with ODB, tagging with Abyss.ODB says she is worried about Young. Abyss walks up to him, and leaves with him.
Rockstar Spud says he will get answers right now.
Rockstar Spud makes his way to the ring. Spud says he is here under orders TNA President Dixie Carter. Spud says he is here for the Wolves, and calls them out. The Wolves make their way to the ring. Spud asks who the investor is. Spud says he has seen some American cop shows, as he holds a flashlight to their face. Spud takes off his jacket, and says he is Carter’s Chief of Staff. Spud says he pushed Hardy off a ladder. Spud says he beat Samoa Joe within an inch of his life. Spud slaps Davey across the face, and starts yelling. They both take off their jackets as they whip Spud. Eddie pops him up, as Richards connects with an Alarm Clock. Edwards says he can tell Dixie that she will find out when everyone else does. Edwards says he does have a message, and says if in anyone interferes in the main event, the investor will fire them.
A Eric Young and Abyss video package is shown. Zema says the BroMan’s physiques will make all girls pregnant and all guys question their sexuality.
TNA Tag Team Championship Match: BroMans (Robbie E and Jesse Godderz) (c) w/ DJ Zema Ion vs. Eric Young and Abyss
Robbie whips Young to the corner, as he does a Ric Flair to the apron. Eric slides under Robbie, and connects with a forearm. Abyss grabs Robbie, as he tags Jesse. Young is takes to the corner and whips him. Young does a Float Over and connects with a Belly-to-belly. Pin, but a kick out. Abyss gets in the ring, attacking Jesse. Abyss is taken back to the apron, as Godderz takes out Young. Robbie is tagged, as they go for a tag move. Abyss smashes their heads together. Robbie attacks Young, and connects with a Diving Splash. Jesse tags, and connects with a Dropkick. Pin, but a kick out. Jesse distracts the ref, as Zema chokes him. Pin, but a kick out. Godderz locks in the elbow of Young, but Eric stands out. Jesse takes him out with a Back Elbow. Robbie tags, and chokes Yong in the ropes. Jesse is tagged again, as they go for a double team. Abyss is tagged, as he cleans house. Both BroMans are thrown in the corner, and knocked out of the ring. DJ Zema goes top rope, as Abyss grabs him by the throat. The ref stops him, as Abyss picks him up and connects with a Shock Treatment. Young is then Chokeslamed.
Abyss walks away. Young grabs a mic, saying this is how Abyss wants it. Young says they only have one experiment left. Young says Abyss wants to get crazy, but he invented crazy. Young challenges Abyss to a Monster’s Ball Match next week.
A video of Samuel Shaw and Christy Hemme is shown. Shaw gives her a tour of his house, ad he stops in his shrine to Hemme.
Bully Ray rolls a casket to the ramp and up to the ring. Bully enters the ring with a mic. Ray asks if everyone knows who he is. Bully introduces himself as the man that used to be the president of the Aces and Eights and the former World Heavyweight Champion. Ray says one man took away his club, his colors and his life; Ken Anderson. Ray says he tried to break his neck, but he keeps coming back. Ray says no matter what he does to him, he keeps coming up. Ray says he is challenging Anderson to one final match and must put their opponent in a coffin. Mr. Anderson makes his way to the ring.
Anderson walks up to the casket, as Ray stands across from him. Anderson says Ray intents to put him in the coffin, but asks what is next. Ray says he will Piledrive Anderson’s wife and kids. Ray says he would love to do that. Anderson says everyone is sick and tired of him running his mouth. Anderson says he won’t put him in it, and will shut that mouth of his. Anderson says his wide and kids say hi, as he smashes the door of the coffin into him. Ray is taken in the ring, as Anderson runs at him. Ray goes top rope, but Anderson hits him in the groin. Anderson connects with a Rolling Senton. Ray is hit with a chair multiple times, before escaping.
A Kurt Angle video package is shown.
Magnus and EC3 are backstage talking about the match. Magnus says he knows Carter doesn’t like him, but that makes both of them. Magnus says Carter is green and doesn’t want him in his match. Ethan says the only green is the money they put into his World Title reign. Dixie Carter wishes them both luck.
Magnus and Ethan make their way to the ring. Joe and Angle make their way to the ring.
TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus and Ethan Carter III vs. Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe
Angle and Ethan start off, as they lock up. Carter is in a Waist Lock, and reverses it. Carter gets a Side Headlock, but is whipped. Carter does a Shoulder Tackle. Angle does an Arm Drag. Joe is tagged, as he is punched in the face. Carter is put in the corner, as he is hit with multiple strikes. Joe connects with a Pele Kick. Joe does a Snapmare, connecting with a chop and kick. Joe follows with a Knee Drop. Kurt is tagged, as they both tackle Carter. Angle stops Ethan in the corner. Angle connects with a Snap Suplex. Pin, but a kick out. Angle continues the attack and dives after him. Carter moves out of the way, and tags Magnus. Angle is choked in the ropes. Magnus connects with chops to Joe.
Carter is tagged, as he connects with a Suplex to Angle. Pin, but a kick out. Carter locks in a Headlock. Angle gets out with elbows, but is hit with a Flying Clothesline. Magnus is tagged, as he connects with a European Uppercut. Magnus calls out Joe, as the ref is turned, EC3 chokes Angle. Carter is tagged, as he whips Angle from the corner. Carter misses with a knee, and is hit with a German Suplex. Joe and Magnus are tagged, as Joe cleans house. Magnus is hit with a Big Boot and a Senton. Magnus is hit with a chop and whips him. Joe is kicked, but connects with a Scoop Slam. Joe locks in a Cross Armbreaker, as EC3 breaks it up. Angle Suplexes Carter on the floor. Joe locks in a Rear Naked Choke, as Magnus taps.
Winners: Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe (Submission)
Dixie Carter comes out to the ring, saying she knew this would happen. Joe grabs a mic, saying the odds caught up with Magnus. Joe says Magnus is staring at the new #1 Contender for his belt. Joe says he can’t blame EC3, because he made him tap. Joe tells him to shine his belt, because he will kill him. Angle says nights like this make him proud to be in the business. Angle thanks Glasgow, and says after 8 years in TNA he is glad to say Angle is back. Angle says the time has come, as he wants to rightfully be inducted in the TNA Hall of Fame. Angle says the new investor would like to be there also.
The lights go out, as the Wolves and the new investor MVP arrive.
