From Norfolk, Virginia
Report by: Alex Barie of WrestlingNewsWorld.com

Impact Wrestling starts off with a video package concentrating on Bad Influence and Bobby Roode. Kazarian and Roode picked up their separate wins last week. Will they continue to succeed? Who will fill in for Kurt Angle in the Main Event Mafia? They tried Austin Aries but he said, “No.” Last week showcased Bully Ray vs. Chris Sabin in a Steel Cage Match. Ray wins with Tito Ortiz coming out.

Bully Ray and Tito Ortiz are walking backstage. Bully is on the phone. He states that Tito is with him and he is pumped. Ray says everyone will know about him and Brooke tonight. He hangs up the phone and they walk forward. They meet Mr. Anderson. Anderson meets Tito and says he should have brought Tito in a lot sooner. Ray doesn’t understand. Anderson states that Ray hasn’t answered the phone calls or answered the texts. Ray says Anderson is getting sensitive and should worry about himself. Tito is with him and is with everyone in Aces. Ray tells Tito to continue and they walk off. Ken looks a bit disgruntled.

The camera shows the arena and it is jam-packed. Music plays and we see Bobby Roode, Kazarian, and Daniels. They walk down to Roode’s music. They get in the ring and Roode grabs a mic. Roode starts off to congratulate Bully Ray on becoming a 2 time TNA World Champion last week. Ray found a way to screw the system. He found another “friend” along the way. Right now, Ray has a target on his chest. He is the guy with the World Title and he is looking at the three men who will do anything to get it. Roode, Kazarian, and Daniels! One of them will walk into Bound for Glory and become the new TNA World Champion whether he likes it or not. Last week, Roode set the tables, literally. He gained 20 points. He leapfrogged into second place. They are only getting started. He hands the mic to Kazarian. Kaz states that he has a Ladder Match against Styles, Aries, and Hardy. Guess who won! It was Kaz… the handsome devil! Daniels gets the mic now. Daniels says it is 2 for 2. Tonight, Daniels completes the sweep. He has the rear that makes the girls cheer… he is the best street fighter in all of TNA. Roode gets the mic again. They are the 25% of the BFG Series. They have been thinking and they have thought about adding a new member to the group to be 1/3. That member is… Austin Aries! Aries knows Roode. They tagged before. He can trust Roode. He can trust Daniels and Kaz. If he wants to be World Champion, he has to join them. Music hits and here comes James Storm and Gunner. The TNA Tag Team Champions walk down the ramp and get in the ring. James has his great beer bottle with him as well as a mic.

James asks if they said trust. James asks Roode if he said, “You can trust me.” Roode did. James teamed up with him in the past. He knows Roode. It’s all about when he will turn on someone. He will throw them away when he doesn’t need them. So, when that happens, “Sorry about your damn luck.” Roode says James is jealous. James says he will take of his hat and shirt. He has never had to wrestle in jeans, so wait till he changes. James goes in the corner and takes off his shirt, hat, and sunglasses. He drinks some beer, turns around and punches Roode right in the face. Gunner goes after Daniels and Kazarian. He tosses them out of the ring. Roode rolls out of the ring and James follows him. He continues with the attack.

Kaz enters and stops the count that James has. Gunner enters and knocks Kaz out of the ring. James continues the attack on Roode. Roode slowly gets up. James goes for the Super Kick but the referee was in the way. Referee = Earl Hebner. Kaz comes in with an object but James hits him with a Super Kick. Roode low blows James as Earl wasn’t looking. Roode does a roll-up and wins. Winners: Bobby Roode and Kazarian

Austin Aries is backstage. He states that Sting asked him to join the Main Event Mafia last week. Now, Roode asks him to join him with Kaz and Daniels. He feels like they cost him the match last week with a distraction. Austin doesn’t know. He will decide sometime tonight.

Alex’s Assumptions:

I do have to say, first and foremost, while I do not like to compare WWE and TNA Wrestling, Raw was very well the superior show this week. The anticipation of the ending segment was worth it all. Now, I know comparing TNA and WWE at some levels is virtually insane, because it is, but we can compare storylines and matches. WWE has really picked up on their storyline, but the key word is STORYLINE. There’s not too many outside of that one major story. TNA, however, has several stories and most of them are wrapped around each other. Like Aces & 8s. You have Mr. Anderson slowly trying to get more power in the group but the group is against MEM. Tito Ortiz enters and has become a “body guard” type role for Ray. MEM has their own problems with Kurt’s absence but now do they have AJ Styles? It’s very unique. Anyway, this was a great show in terms of wrestling. The X-Division match was fast paced while the Knockout match was great for the division. The main event lasted almost a half hour. While those are the matches, stories have also developed. Developing from Austin Aries with Roode/Kaz/Daniels and now Gunner and James telling how it is with Roode. Eric Young is slowly starting to realize what is going on with Joseph Park. Finally, AJ Styles has turned a 180. Quite frankly, I am surprised that TNA did this. I thought he would have lasted till Bound for Glory. Is this a bad move? We certainly have to wait and see, but it’s a great time to turn him and really build him as I predicted since April that he will win the Bound for Glory Series. I’m still sticking with it and it’s becoming more evident than ever. I’m looking forward to next week to hear from Hulk, AJ, and others. It’s a great time for wrestling shows. • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

Hello everyone! I am glad to be back this week for the live coverage! I want to thank Adam for filling in for me last week. From what I heard from someone in attendance last week, this show will be awesome. Haven’t heard the spoilers though. Great thing!!

    • Jesse Sherwood

And Adam did a great job filling in, but it is good to have you back Alex! Hopefully we can have 2 records broken in one week!

      • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

I sure hope so! I understand the reason for why Raw’s was broken. Tonight’s not as big of a night… except for the “Loser leaves TNA” match which will create a lot of talk, just like everything.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Adam did a nice job. I’m impressed because I know how hard it is. I made it back about a half hour into the show and hung out.

        • Jesse Sherwood

I’m surprised there hasn’t been more said about Brooke Hogan’s release. That came off as a bit of a surprise to me.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Richard spoke about it in Premium.

          • David

With Brooke Hogan being released, I’m wondering if last week when Bully Ray was talking to Brooke on the phone, if they will forget about it or if it will be somebody else named Brooke.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Well, they taped this week’s show last week, so they had to know something.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Well, there is another Brooke on the roster, but would TNA do something that obvious?

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            They could, and might.

          • David

It reminds me of the time when WCW reformed NWO for like the 5th time. Bret Hart, Kevin Nash and Jeff Jarrett had formed the NWO and said Scott would also be a member. The announcers kept saying Hall was part of the NWO but it end up being Steiner. That’s what made me think of it.

          • Jesse Sherwood

I remember that. It could very well happen then, since TNA seems to take plays out of the old WCW playbook.

          • David

Doesn’t Eric Bischoff run creative now?

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            Yes, he does.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Had Bully been calling BH Brooke or Brookie? I thought it was Brooke, so that he’s calling her Brookie on his cell could be something.

          • Jesse Sherwood

            Both, if I remember right.

          • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

Me too. I guess most of the people were happy about it.

  • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

Storming here! I hope my power doesn’t go out!

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Text me if it does, and if you need me to jump in the live results for you.

      • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

Sure thing! So far so good!

        Thanks! So far so good.

Sure thing! So far so good.

  • Danny Philippi

Checking in for tonight’s Impact. Tonight, TNA has to execute on all cylinders.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Hey Danny! I agree, as they burned a lot of fuel last week with Tito’s turnabout.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But if they waited for this week, it would have been taped and people would have ripped on them for that.

  • Danny Philippi

Already, TNA is hinting at disruption with Aces and 8s. Bully Ray might be a transitional champion after all.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

The BFG winner will become champ.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Honestly, Kendra and I have been calling for Anderson to splinter the group for a while now. But it feels a bit soon for it to happen. It needs to happen at BFG.

  • Danny Philippi

Roode, Daniels, and Kaz remind me a little bit of the Freebirds as far as micwork is concerned.

  • David

TNA use to have a great tag team division, but now, I almost forgot that Storm & Gunner were the Tag Team Champions.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Well, the WWE is having a good time with the tag division now. It seems as though both can’t do well with the tags divisions at the same time.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Yeah, that is thanks to the BFG Series and all of the releases. When your roster is only 40 deep including Knockouts and 12 of the talents are tied up into factions, things get lost in the shuffle.

  • Jesse Sherwood

    Test.

  • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

    Looks like it’s back up.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Aye sir, but still taking some time for all of the comments to post.

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

    Wait, is Disqus working?

  • Jesse Sherwood

    DISQUS IS UP!

  • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

    YAY!!!!

  • Danny Philippi

Fack this sh*t. Here comes Disqus!

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Not been thrilled with Hernandez lately, but that dive was SICK!

  • Danny Philippi

Earl Hebner has had more shower time than Jay Bradleys has had ring time.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

And that’s good for us! Why is Bradley in the BFG Series? Ugh!

    • Jesse Sherwood

Sadly, Bradley’s actual ring work is worse than Joseph’s fake green ring work!

  • Danny Philippi

Finally we get to see Brooke and Bully make up. About damn time.

  • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

Didn’t put it in the live coverage but the “Yes” chants have made it onto TNA programming.

    • Jesse Sherwood

They’ve been there for a bit, but it has never been anything major until tonight.

  • Jesse Sherwood

That win pulls Joseph out of the negative basement and puts him in 10th place! With one pinfall win, he can be tied for fourth, or a submission can propel him to 2nd!

    1. Magnus – 39 Points
    2. Bobby Roode – 27 Points
    3. Samoa Joe – 26 Points
    4. (Tied) Jeff Hardy – 24 Points
    4. (Tied) Mr. Anderson – 24 Points
    6. AJ Styles – 22 Points
    7. Christopher Daniels – 23 Points
    8. Kaz – 22 Points
    9. Austin Aries – 21 Points
    10. Joseph Park – 17 Points
    11. Hernandez – 7 Points
    12. Jay Bradley – 0 Points

  • Jesse Sherwood

Finally, Rampage shows some real emotion!

  • Danny Philippi

Magnus and Joe together can beat any 3-man group in pro wrestling. Including the Shield.

    • David

Joe and Magnus could help put some life back into the once great Tag Team Division.

    • Jesse Sherwood

Amen! And I love the Shield! Magnus is the future of this business, and Joe is easily one of the top 5 wrestlers in the world today.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Add in Aries and they’re unstoppable!

  • Jesse Sherwood

UGH! Blatant # on the screen!

  • Jesse Sherwood

Tito Ortiz is really bad on the mic.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Tess got a boob job! And her butt is hanging out!

    • David

She’s always had the best behind.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

See, I always thought her back was so swayed that her bum looked funny. But in those bottoms her bum looks much better than the red, white and blue.

        • Jesse Sherwood

Amen! She is quite hot, and the heels helped lift her a bit.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Yes, the heels did help, but I worry with her very swayed back that she’s going to have back issues as she gets older.

          • Jesse Sherwood

I’m not a woman, so I don’t know about that, but I don’t see how heels are comfortable! It can’t feel good to have your heel elevated 3-5 inches like that.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I find a couple inches much more comfortable, but it balances out my balcony, pulls everything in line vertically, but beyond that, I can’t do it. But I have bad hips, knees and ankles.

Brooke T. has a terribly swayed back, so much so that I wonder if there might actually be a curvature there.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I agreed with you, but now I’m not so sure. I think it’s her bra.

  • Danny Philippi

See, I was waiting for Brooke and Bully to make up. It is like Shriek, donkey and the ‘princess’.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

      Shriek?

      • Danny Philippi

Yeah. Like the movie Shriek. Or is it spelled Shrek?

        • Jesse Sherwood

Shrek, Danny. Shriek is a bad horror movie!

          • David

Shriek is also what I did, when i found out who’s going to play Batman in the Man of Steel sequel.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Who are they talking about? I haven’t seen the news bit.

          • David

They just announced Ben Affleck will play Batman.

          • Jesse Sherwood

            NOOOOOOOOO!

          • David

            That was my response too.

          • Danny Philippi

On Wikipedia, you will see this under the search for EPIC FAILURE.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Has anyone told Gesus? I REALLY don’t want to be the one to tell him, or be anywhere near him for a very long time after he finds out!

          • David

Does Gesus like Batman or despise Ben Affleck?

          • Jesse Sherwood

            BOTH!

          • Jesse Sherwood

Quote from Gesus: “Who the hell wants to see Daredevil as Batman?!”

          • David

Who would he think is worse, Ben Affleck or if George Clooney came back.

          • Jesse Sherwood

“Clooney was good and believable, just the movies themselves sucked.”

          • David

He was only in one Batman Movie, but one thing that made that movie suck was Bat Nipples.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But he didn’t make the costume. I’d love to slap that designer!

          • Jesse Sherwood

I thought Clooney did two, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin?

          • David

            Batman Forever was Val Kilmer.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Oh yeah… I forgot they switched actors a lot then.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

He’s the biggest Batman fan that I know!

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

            Oh Hell NO! NO! NO!

          • Jesse Sherwood

            BAKA!

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Sorry, I had to pick on your spelling! All in fun and friendship. I couldn’t help myself. Jesse harrasses me at every turn, so I had to get it out somewhere!

          • David

Wrong person, Danny did it, not me.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Sorry, my reply was to the wrong person!

  • David

Is Bully Ray married? If so I wonder what his wife thinks about him kissing Brooke.

    • Danny Philippi

He had to tell his wife about it beforehand. But this is pro wrestling and it is similar to an actor kissing an actress in the middle of a movie.

    • Jesse Sherwood

He is, and I am sure they are very open with what happens on TV.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Why is this so much worse than kissing Brooke?

      • David

        Do you mean Brooke Hogan?

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

          Yes, Brooke!

And I don’t think Brooke is so much hotter than Brooke.

      • Jesse Sherwood

Because Brooke is hotter than Brooke!

        • David

Brooke Hogan looks like Hulk Hogan with boobs.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Have you ever seen her in person?

          • David

            No I haven’t.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I don’t think BH comes through on TV as lovely as she is in person. She is a tall girl, but I have to stand up for us tall girls. We’re not at 5’1″ like many of the Divas and Knockouts. It was quite a while ago, but I found her breathtaking.

          • Jesse Sherwood

Nope on Tess, but I did Hogan at the Impact in Jonesboro AR, and Tess looks much better. Hogan looks anorexic.

  • Jesse Sherwood

They went really hard in a Hardcore 3-Way last week, and now ODB and Gail Kim are facing off this week? That is some dedication!

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

You notice that ODB kept checking her bra before the match started. Must have been strange losing a bra in a match, then getting back in the ring again during the same night strapped in again. It really does make a big difference from bra to bra and how clothing fits to hold them up.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Taz is trying to get into the physiological effects of a low blow on a woman! LOL!

  • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

I just got a text that says So Cal Val is gone from the company!

    • Jesse Sherwood

WHA?! She has been there since close to the beginning!

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

        And more about budgeting! Ugh!

        • Jesse Sherwood

          BAKA!!!

    • Jesse Sherwood

      Next will be JB!

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Most likely, but I’ll call BS on that!

  • Danny Philippi

Lets see, Gail, Mickie, and now Tessmacher are heel knockouts and ODB is the lone face knockout with Taryn Tarrell and Velvet out. Talk about how the mighty have fallen.

  • David

I graduated HS in 99, but nothing says back to school like TNA Knockouts.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

LOL, Stacy asked me last night what skimpy outfits on wrestlers has to do with back to school? I think it’s funny, and TNA trying strange ways of being creative.

      EDIT – Last week!

  • Danny Philippi

TNA featuring Jeff Hardy is a message to all that they still need to force ex-WWE stars down our throats.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But his daughter is beautiful!! So sweet, but also so much Jeff’s daughter! The way she looks sideways at the camera at the end was so Hardy!

  • Jesse Sherwood

Now I know what is going on with HH, at least in my opinion. TNA has burned through his dates.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Most likely. I’m sure he’s also pissy they they’re trying to force him into another pay cut. Of anyone who should be taking a cut, it’s him, Bisch and Dixie. Possibly Serge too.

      • Jesse Sherwood

Honestly, they should be following major CEO’s examples and only work for a dollar!

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I’m sure Dixie has plenty to live, why does she need a big salary? I don’t know what she makes, or even what Serge makes – as he is on the TNA payroll – but you’d think they would be setting an example!

          • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

Plus, they have been paying Jeff Jarrett all this time and haven’t used him for about 2 years.

          • David

Lanny Poffo (randy savage’s brother) was making 6 figures in WCW and he never appeared on TV. And you saw how well that worked out for WCW.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

But Lanny is a smart businessman – I’ve met him, talked to him at length – Dixie is not! There’s a big difference between them.

And if you’re comparing JJ and Lanny, I have to say they’re both smart for collecting and sitting on their hands.

          • David

Oh I agree Lanny and JJ were/are smart for sitting and taking money, I think WCW and TNA were/are stupid for paying a guy and not using them some how.

          • Jesse Sherwood

JJ is now being used at least, but Lanny was a package with Randy, from my understanding.

          • David

Maybe so but why pay him 6 figures, you could have payed him 5 figures to sit at home.

          • Jesse Sherwood

I am not saying it makes sense, but I imagine that Randy had a hand in his pay scale as well. Why not force their hand for as much for your family as you can? Is it right? Nope, but I’d do the same thing, given the chance.

          • David

I always thought it was Bischoff signing as much people as possible so Vince couldn’t have them.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

And it seems as though Vince has wanted to keep certain people around so they couldn’t go to TNA, even though he never even thinks of them even existing.

          • Jesse Sherwood

For some reason, I get that vibe with Ryder.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Yeah, he’s one of them. Tyson Kidd is another.

          • Jesse Sherwood

            And along that line, Nattie.

          • David

With him being married to a star of Total Divas, I think his job is safe regardless.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I disagree. She caught huge heat for quite a long time for comments he’s made. I was shocked to see her on Total Divas after all the crap she’s taken from his comments.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

And back to Dixie being a terrible businesswoman on so many levels. She was in marketing before this, yet she can’t market TNA to save them from sinking.

          • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

            You ever talk to Dixie?

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I have tried, and as I said, I don’t know what she makes, but she has pointedly avoided me, even when I was sweet as pie to her from the start.

“I will answer all questions asked me on Twitter,” is what she said way back, but she picked and chose and didn’t like being called on it.

          • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

Have you noticed the “Ask Dixie” thing is over already?

          • Jesse Sherwood

Well, when you get thousands of questions a week about explicit things and don’t want to answer hard questions on the company, then it has to be looked at as a failure.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

It ran for quite a quite a while without being a biggie because people didn’t complain much – other than me – about her not answering their questions. Finally people got loud and she stopped.

I would love to talk business with Dixie, even off the record, because she’s made herself look like a total jackass with so many things she’s both done and hasn’t done with TNA and certain people involved in the company.

          • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

I mean, this recent Ask Dixie thing was suppose to be every Thursday but it only aired for two weeks.

I have contacted Dixie multiple times for an interview. Was very close but she had to go to Europe to finalize all of the info for next year’s tour.

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I don’t think she has the stones to do it. I don’t think she could put up with the pressure even you would put on her. You’re a very sweet guy, but you’d be able to make her crack.

          • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

Online shows a very small glimpse of what I am really like. I can really get under the skin of many if given the chance. I just try not to.

          • Jesse Sherwood

I want 30 minutes on the record. Make your company transparent for the fans to see that our fears are unfounded.

          • Jesse Sherwood

That’d be a fun interview if you could ask anything you wanted and she be open!

          • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I think it would be great if she even answered a couple of the bigger questions that a lot of fans continue asking her on Twitter than she avoids.

  • Danny Philippi

Hear that sound. It is Sabin crashing through a pile of leaves and back in the midcard of TNA. Nice knowing you Chris.

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

What is the exact wording of the stip for this match?

    • Jesse Sherwood

The person who is pinned must leave TNA forever.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Thanks! I wasn’t sure if it couldn’t wrestle of has to leave.

  • Jesse Sherwood

    P1 is Back!

  • Jesse Sherwood

    AJ! AJ! AJ! AJ! AJ!

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

      YES! YES! YES!

  • Danny Philippi

I always thought the Lone Wolf AJ was a weak comparison to the crow Sting. I hope this means AJ wins the BFG series to beat Bully at Bound for Glory.

    • David

I wonder if this was always the plan, just moved up following Angle’s DUI.

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Interesting question. I’m betting something was changed because of Angle, but it could have only been timing. Or it could have been everything to do with AJ’s character.

        • David

I was thinking it would happen at Bound For Glory. I’ve thought from the beginning AJ Styles was going to win the BFG series.

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I’m just hoping this incarnation of his character is over because I never believed it. AJ is a natural face.

      • Jesse Sherwood

AJ was working well, at least in my opinion. That morally gray character worked well, but he is best as a face.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I didn’t buy it in the least.

      • Danny Philippi

Yeah, AJ has a Ricky Steamboat complex in my view, too.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Come on Wes, Garrett, or Rampage taking the pin!

    • David

Who would be the most shocking if they got pinned? I’d have to go with AJ Styles.

      • Jesse Sherwood

AJ or Anderson in my opinion. Anderson because of the direction they are taking the break up of A’s and AJ because he is the foundation of TNA.

        • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

I agree, AJ would be most shocking, but Rampage behind him. They are just pushing him too hard.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Rampage can do a body slam!

  • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

That move on AJ was sick!

    • http://miscellaneousmumble.blogspot.com/ Alex Barie

      Was that a spear?

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Looked like a cross between a clothesline and a spear, and the way he flipped was lovely. Very Rikishi, because they’re so similarly built.

  • Jesse Sherwood

Devon is gone?! I’m surprised! No more Team 3D…

  • Jesse Sherwood

Now that you are face again AJ, cut the hair and shave your chest!

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

Honestly, I don’t mind the hair, but the chest is a bit much.

      • Jesse Sherwood

I dare crowds to chant that!

  • Danny Philippi

Okay, that was fun. And the discussion about Ben Affleck being Batman stole Disqus. See you next week and LIVE.

    • Jesse Sherwood

See you next week too Danny!

      • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Kendra Bunyon

        Night Danny!
