Impact Wrestling Viewership & Rating Rises

This week’s Impact Wrestling viewership rises after last week’s horrible number. This week scores an average viewing audience of 1,100,000 viewers. The show scored a 0.91 cable rating.

The show increase will be explained by the hype of Slammiversary‘s aftermath and Rampage Jackson first appearance on the show.

With that low of an increase and the fact that next week is the BFG Series participant reveal, one can hope it goes up further.

I don’t think you can really call that increase due to Rampage or Slammiversary hype. I’d say it has more to do with this week being a live episode over a taped one.

The shows aren’t really live anymore.

I know, but tape delay of an hour is not the same as a week.

I’m hoping they get out of this funk because just imagine, right now wwe Raw ratings are at an all time low, if TNA can pull something outta their asses and rise to the occasion and actually catch up with Raw things could become very interesting! But because now the shows will all be taped and not live then I dunno. I still hope they can pull it off, we desperately need another wrestling boom!

For a company who’s best number is a 1.4 (which isn’t good), a .91 is awful. That this number signifies an increase is positively ridiculous given the way they hemorrhaged cash in an effort to make things better. Jackson isn’t yet working. That number tells me he isn’t. C’mon, TNA. If you’re going to try to play with the big dogs, you have to learn to market.
