International Star Headed To WWE After All?

A stipulation has been added to Prince Devitt's match at next Sunday's New Japan Pro Wrestling "Invasion Attack" show in Tokyo. The bout, against Ryusuke Taguchi, carries the stipulation that if Devitt loses, he must leave NJPW.

This has resulted in speculation that Devitt could be headed to WWE. We can confirm there's been interest for months but Devitt was reluctant to sign because he didn't want to spend time in the company's developmental program at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Devitt has been confirmed for PCW’s Springslam event at the end of April, will update if any announcement is made

Doesn’t that pretty much say he isn’t going to WWE then? They wouldn’t have him on some indy show if he was signing with them…

Don’t they usually honour prior commitments? I know Sami Zayn had a few matches after signing with WWE.

True… this just feels like a recent development. I could be wrong

Fergel Devitt is an awsome worker but I think he would have a better career in Japan.
More opportunity and more Respect for workers his size and skill in the orient.
Puroresu stars never get their due in the U.S. even though most WWE Guys wouldn’t last ten minutes in a Japanese ring.

Considering he just won the Zero G title at ICW’s show today and cut a very short, very bad promo about it… I’d say he’s not WWE bound.
