Jay Lethal vs. El Generico Booked For 11/5 In Louisville

It was in Chicago Ridge, IL on 8/13/11 where Jay Lethal captured the ROH World TV Title from El Generico in an overtime period after he and Generico went to a draw. If you’re a ringside member, you can see the archive of that bout from our 10/1 episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” here.

Now, when ROH heads back to Louisville on November 5th for another set of TV tapings, these two warriors will once again clash over that title when El Generico takes advantage of the rematch clause. Lethal has already secured one successful defense after going to a time limit draw with “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett on 10/1 in Louisville, already a higher retention rate than The Generic Luchador’s reign, still each man comes into this rematch with something they didn’t have before: experience.

The fact that Generico & Lethal have battled before means they have learned something about one another, they are better prepared for the fight this time around, and neither man wants to let this one go the distance.

“El Generico is one of the toughest men I have ever set foot in the ring with.” said Lethal “It took everything I had, plus a little extra I didn’t know was there, to be able to beat him and become the TV champion. In this rematch there won’t be a draw, there will not be an overtime; I will beat El Generico and retain my title and I will do it in record time.
