JBL is returning to pro wrestling for the first time since his retirement at Wrestlemania XXV. The longest-reigning WWE Champion has confirmed he will be in Waterloo, Iowa next summer to accept the Lou Thesz Award at the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame induction weekend.
SLAM! Wrestling has a new article online to promote the appearance featuring quotes from JBL. In it, he discusses his relationship with WWE. Below is an excerpt:

Plus, living in Bermuda, it’s a long trek to get anywhere to do something for them,” he said.
