Jerry Lawler Not Calling Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Tonight

The 2016 WWE Royal Rumble will undoubtedly have a different feel to it as it WILL NOT include the voice of Jerry “The King” Lawler. Lawler confirmed on Twitter over the weekend he’ll be on the Kickoff and Rumble panel but will not be on the pay-per-view itself.

King retweeted followers that voiced their displeasure about this, so it certainly doesn’t look like his decision.

The commentary team for the pay-per-view will be comprised of Michael Cole, JBL and Byron Saxton. We’ll have complete coverage here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com.

    Eurgh… if Lawler had to be dropped from commentary surely Mauro should have replaced him rather than Saxton?!

    I can never be mad at Jerry, he was one half of the greatest feud in the history of pro wrestling. Andy Kaufman NEEDS to be in the Hall of Fame… way before his time and could have been even better than Bobby Heenan (who I hold in the highest regard to non wrestler positions in the business).
