John Cena To Defend Title Against Brock Lesnar At SummerSlam

John Cena retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Fatal 4-Way Match at Battleground on Sunday night. The finish saw Cena hit Randy Orton with the Attitude Adjustment onto Kane, pinning The Big Red Machine to go over.

The note to make is that Cena will defend the title against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, a plan WWE has already confirmed.

WWE SummerSlam 2014 will take place on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. We’ll have exclusive live play-by-play coverage at WestlingNewsWorld.com.

As previously noted, Cena is not scheduled for this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Miami, Florida.

    Brock please crush.

    • Avalanchian

Don’t worry Brock is going to win the title and he will hold onto it for awhile too.

      • Xavier

Yup, and people will complain about Lesnar’s title reign as well.

        • Avalanchian

Yup especially since he has limited shows on his contract

        • JR Texx (Jamie)

He will probably get a 400+ title reign, then complain that he doesn’t get what he wants.

  • Cubed56

nice way to draw more subscribers to the network huh, let’s just have yet another preidctable main event.

    • Xavier

Lol your really gonna get upset about tonight?

      • Cubed56

I’m not upset at all actually, I was just simply making a statement about the recent predictability plaguing WWE.

    • jdl

Predicable or not, the best way to bring in casual wrestling fans is with matches that will appeal to casual wrestling fans. We are not the market they want, the “core” fans are never the desired market of any mass media products.

      • Cubed56

very true. However, recently, and maybe its just me, but even the casual fans seem to be getting sick of the predictability and consistent re-hashes of matches and feuds. Look at tonight, that crowd was absolutely dead for i would say 85-90% of the show.

  • kavon

Where was brock? Plus isn cena not appearing on raw? I feel reigns should just be no. 1 contender

Start working at home with Google! It’s by-far the best job I’ve had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this – 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooo why not Batista?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    • JR Texx (Jamie)

      You mean Blutista.

  • Scott

Not interested in Cena/Lesnar again at all. Been there, saw it, and got the t shirt. How about some exciting new feuds for Lesnar??? Weve gotten HHH 3 f$&@ing times, now Cena will be twice. The only feuds that have been worth anything were Lesnars feuds with Taker and Punk.

    • GOR

Broc has no established Stars to face. Punk woud have been a better option than cena. But WWE coudn’t retain him. other than that who can go 1 to 1 with Brock ? Kane? Ortan ? Sheamus maybe.
But then again they r not as big stars as cena right now.

      • Scott

Theres a big list of people Brock could face! Cesaro, Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Rusev, Swagger (both have ACTUAL wrestling backgrounds), Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose. Every single one of those guys would get a huge rub being in a match with him reguardless of a win or loss. Same situation as Taker while the streak was alive.

Kane isn’t the Big Red Machine anymore, that died in the early 2000′s. He’s the “Big Red Demon” or the “Big Red Monster”, or whatever the hell they call him. His ring attire is actually mostly black now so maybe instead it should be… well never mind.

The Big Bl.. ah I see.
