John Cena Discusses Early Return From Injury, When He Started Lifting Again, His Rehab

WWE.com published an interview with John Cena where he  talked about returning only two and a half months after undergoing surgery for a torn triceps. In it, Cena admitted to having a hard time staying away but justified it by saying if any active Superstar that doesn’t have a hard time staying away should rethink their profession. Cena said the initial 4-6 month timeline for his absence was the doctors erring on the side of caution.

Cena said he’s happy with the way his rehab has gone and he started lifting weights 16 days after surgery. He had to wait two weeks to get his stitches out and another two days for the incision sight to heal. He said he’s been training at the WWE Performance Center to give himself a last little test.
