John Cena On Fan Reaction If He Turned Heel

John Cena was recently interviewed by Digital Spy and talked about his new movie "Ferdinand" for the most part but also discussed the potential of turning heel in WWE and what the fan reaction would be like:

"So many times in WWE, the audience tells me – at the top of their lungs – that they want me to change. But over the years I've learned that, if I change, they'll just rag on me about something else. I'm never gonna please them and, at the same time, I would be turning my back on those that I care about. So it couldn't have been a better situation for me to be involved with this movie."

Cena talked about there being more to him than being a wrestling character:

"I am a 40-year-old adult – there's a man behind the hand. I wouldn't be where I'm at if it wasn't for this [the hand] and I have great perspective of that. I wouldn't be where I'm at if it wasn't for those things. But it's always a challenge to let people know that there's a little more to me."

Its a shame because a Cena heel turn could lead to epic story lines akin to Hogan’s turn.

Cena, my dear man, aren’t you interested in becoming 17 times wwe champion? And what happened to the John Cena, who used to put his belt on the line for anybody in the locker room, week after week. Is it the end of that Cena, whom we used to worship and we watched wwe just to get a glimpse of Cena. Hope you return back to the ring, Cena and try to make it to raw and fight guys like Samoa, etc and not against Reigns. I mean don’t corner the good guys, go for the bad guys instead
