John Cena Limited On Saturday, Right Ankle Wrapped

We’re gathering information as quickly as possible on John Cena’s right Achilles injury, but it is a legitimate injury and not part of a storyline. The injury occurred prior to Saturday’s WWE Raw live event in Lodz, Poland as he worked on Saturday with his right Achilles wrapped.

Cena was said to be in a lot of pain and didn’t do much work in the match although he did pin Dolph Ziggler to get his team the win.  Below is how one eyewitness put it:

Below are some photos of Cena at the show, notice the higher sock on his right leg which appears to be covering some type of wrapping:

WWE first broke the story here on dot com with a vague update. They didn’t report any timetable for expected recovery but did report Cena’s status for next month’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view was in question.

Bless his heart; I pray he gets to feeling better.

If he’d have to miss more than one ppv, I say yes, strip him. But if he only has to miss ER, then he should be ok. They gave Punk a one ppv rest after his knee injury, fair is fair. (For the record, Im not a Cena fan.)

Punk had the title for the longest time in 25 years I dont think Cean has even had the title for 25 days. There 2 totally different title reigns which shouldnt even be compared to eachother. The real point should be that Ryback is a liability his push should be stopped and at the very least he should be put down to midcard were there is no risk of him injuring more mainevent talent

      • Adam “SwipeManMcNasty”

My comparison was more about the men than the title reigns. They let Punk miss a ppv defense to recover, chances are theyd do the same for the face of the company.

Has there been any confirmation that the Ryback was the cause of the injury? I just saw that it occurred while working with him, couldve just been a simple misstep. Couldve been Cena’s fault.

Hit the link to the wwe website and the 1st paragraph reads WWE.com has learned that WWE Champion John Cena sustained an injury during WWE’s European tour. The WWE Champion injured his right Achilles tendon while battling Ryback. Why would I guess something like that. There was a reason why the kept the belt on Punk & it was so he could face the Rock at Royal Rumble, even Punk said he was ok to come back earlier but VKM didn’t risk it. Who cares about Punk this is a totally different scenario and injury

          • Adam “SwipeManMcNasty”

“While battling Ryback.” doesnt mean because of the Ryback. Like I said, could have been a misstep by Cena.

I like the addition of a poll…. and hopefully Cena can get it healed before the PPV

      I like the poll, too.

I don’t get it. Isn’t Cena always “limited” in the ring?

    • Carlos is a dumbass

No, but your lame ass jokes are pretty limited.

    • Kris Mystery

He’s no more limited than 95% of the roster.

      • Carlos is a dumbass

Your brain is more limited then 95% of America’s preschool kids. If Cena was so limited then he wouldn’t be the face of the company you idiot.

Let him rest for ER and put the world heavyweight title match as main event to make it feel more important!
