John Cena Pulled From WWE Live Event Due To Apparent Injury

John Cena was pulled from Sunday’s WWE live event from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri due to an apparent injury. While details remain sketchy as of press time, it was announced that Cena wouldn’t be on the show as advertised and fans were given until the end of the second match to get a refund.

John worked WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton at Saturday night’s WWE live event in Orlando, Florida. He went over via disqualification in the bout.

Cena was replaced on Sunday by Daniel Bryan.

Cena’s not one to miss work unless he is really hurt just this past summerslam he worked with a torn triceps.
So this injury has to be serious for him to miss a show.
And if that’s the case VKM and HHH have to work double time to get Punk back or have a lack of serious star power heading into Mania.

    • JR Texx (Jamie)

Just because Cena has missed one show doesn’t mean they’ll need to bring Punk back.

Punk might/probably not come back at all. They have enough superstars without CM Punk.

He walked out, yeah he was entertaining to watch, but people need to get over it.

      • BIG M

Yeah “superstars” like Batista are enough to sell Mania after all he sure sold Rumble didn’t he.
Face facts mate guys like Bryan and Punk are what us grown ups want to see and guys like Cena bring in the kids and that’s the bulk of WWE’s audience right there.
They either need all three or some guyd lower on the card to step up to sell Mania trust me.

        • JR Texx (Jamie)

They need to push more guys, not rely on guys like Cena and Punk, just because Cena has one live show doesn’t mean they need Punk.

People seem to forget there are other guys in the company other than Punk.

          • BIG M

No doubt but Mania is what Two months away hard to push someone to main event status that fast Ryback’s proof of that.
Right here Right now Punk is a BIG TIME player and WWE needs BIG TIME players especially on Wrestlmania season.

          • JR Texx (Jamie)

2 months? they pushed Batista in one night…

They don’t need Punk, they have plenty of other superstars.. if you keep wanting Punk you’re going to be disappointed, and it’s just going to be a repeat of the Royal Rumble, and thats what killed the end the rumble.

Like I said, if people don’t get over Punk it’s going to be repeat of the Rumble and we’re going to be in the exact same place after mania as we are now.

          • BIG M

Yeah and look where its gotten them that crowd at Rumble was pissed that Batista won and Bryan wasn’t even in it.
Insteed of pushing the future Bryan,Wyatt,Cesaro,Barrett,Ziggler there pushing the past Lesner,Rock,Jericho,Batista and more to come.
If WWE is going to push someone other then Cena, Orton or Punk they should try to be pushing full time talent busting there arse’s every night for the love they have for this industry.
Not part time Dinosaurs from yesteryear just trying to collect a BIG fat paycheck or trying to re live there glory days.

          • JR Texx (Jamie)

Yet all you want is them to bring Punk back?

          • BIG M

I want ALL the PRESENT main eventers and FUTURE main eventers to secure pro wrestlings PRESENT and FUTURE.
I don’t want pro wrestlings PAST to destroy it ok.
Yes I’m a Punk fan if he doesn’t come back yes that will suck as a fan but I promise you it will suck more for this industrys future.

          • Jimmy

I can guess your thoughts prefectly, you wanna see guys like Bryan, The Shield and all the other “wrestlers” get pushed as opposed to the “actors” like Cena, Orton and Batista just like everyone else on the internet right?

          • BIG M

No just not Part timers who’ve had there day.

          • Jimmy

Ok, i can understand that. But i can bet that you (as well as most of the people on here) were the ones who wanted to see The Rock come back, wanted to see Lesnar come back, got excited when that first Batista video aired and begged for an Orton heel turn and are now complaining about the same thing. Punk had his time in the main event scene thats what you wanted, he was longest reigning champ thats what you wanted. But your still not happy right?

          • BIG M

Yes I was happy when Rock came back….. the first time then he came and went every two weeks.
Yes I wanted Orton to turn heel but I’m not complaining about that its been a good turn.
No I wasn’t happy to see Batista return promos.
Yes I was happy Punk was champ for over a year but I actually think WWE has done the right thing not having him go after it for a year but I do think he should have a bigger match at mania than Kane or Triple H a rematch with Taker maybe.
Is that proof enough I’m not an IWC idiot.

          • Jimmy

Alright, but let me ask you a question. In your earlier comments you said you want people who are the going to represent the WWE in future to main event or atleast participate in big Wrestlemania matches correct? Well Punk said himself that the only thing he has left to accomplish in WWE was to main event Wrestlemania, and once he does that he’s out of there. So how would that make him any different to the part timers that are leaving after Wrestlemania?

          • BIG M

Well no because he has been and if he comes back he will still be a full time talent due to how critical he is of part timers.
If he main events Mania it won’t be this year it will probably be next year.
The guys preety beat up and as been talking early retirement for a while now.
If he accomplishsis his goal ritires than comes back as a part timer then yes I would consider him(in it for the pay check)kind of guy and a hypocrite.

          • Jimmy

Punk doesn’t strike me as the type of guy to not be in the main event of this years WM and then work harder for the next 12 months to try be in it. If he didn’t get the big spot in this years one that was it for him and he did just that and walked out.

          • BIG M

Well Punk is pretty polarizing that way lets just see what happens were probably both wrong.

          • Jimmy

You know what, i actually do hope i end up being wrong and that we get to see Punk again sometime down the line.

          • BIG M

Well honestly that’s very big of you good on ya mate.
P.S. sorry bout the fanboy crack.

          • Jimmy

No worries, pro wrestling is a competitive sport for the fans and with everyone having different favorites people tend to bump heads every now and then. Its just like owning a business, you need to show people why your product is so good so you can sell it just like we convince each other why we think our favorite wrestler is the best.

          • Burt

maib i shud pus u dwn a big hil dum fagit de need punk mor den de need u lel

        • Jimmy

Its funny that you use the term “grown ups” its not what the “grown ups” want to see its what the “internet guys” want to see.

          • BIG M

Its funny that you call me an internet guy meaning geek and yet your avatar is a character from a cartoon hey fanboy.

          • Jimmy

The fact that you automatically assume that i think your nerd by using the term internet guy shows alot. All im trying to say is that no matter what happens in the WWE you and all the other internet guys still won’t be satisfied.

          • BIG M

You know I’m getting really sick of being called an internet fan.
Just because I want a little variety in the main event scene doesn’t mean I’m your typical IWC idiot.

        • Xavier

Are you referring to the same grown ups that cried on the internet last year when Punk lost the title to the Rock? Or the grown ups that throw temper tantrums at live events just because the guy didn’t go over or wasn’t in the Rumble? The same grown ups that acted childish and demanded refunds when Bryan didn’t go over at Hell In A Cell? Or how bout the grown ups that marched outside the White House and demanded that the President do something about Bryan not being in the Rumble? You’re using the term grown up very loosely my friend. Say what you want about Cena fans but you don’t ever see them acting like ignorant or childish when he doesn’t go over.

          • BIG M

Xavier I know what your saying but those people are idiots and I sincerely hope you don’t put me in the same catogory as them.
Ill admit I get a little animated on Here sometimes but the day I act like those people is the day I stop being a true pro wrestling fan and start being a IWC member and I will do my damdest to make sure that day never comes.

          • Xavier

Trust me bro, I don’t consider you to be one of those fans. I’ve had plenty of back & forth chats with you and I can tell your an intelligent wrestler fan. I respect your opinions. I certainly understand your frustrations with WWE booking as well, I’m frustrated with it as well. I just always see a lot people who are quick to say that all Cena fans are kids and so on & so on and if that’s the case I can honestly say that they handle Cena losing 20x better then when most Punk, Bryan, Ziggler, Cesaro fans do when they’re guy loses. That’s why I feel it’s premature for those types of fans to make fun of Cena fans when they themselves act a whole lot more childish when they don’t get there way.

          • BIG M

            Point very well taken.
I’m guilty of doing that now and then I’m big enough to admit that but I sometimes can’t help the fact I’m a life long loyal WWE fan who is starting to feel more and more that my loyalty isn’t being rewarded and I think some of the people you described are in the same boat.
Yes most are idiots but some are as you say just frustrated.

          • Xavier

I think all guilty of getting carried away at times, happens too me as well.

I’m all for this Daniel Bryan movement. I’ve been saying for months to anyone who would listen that Bryan should win the Rumble and then face Lesnar at Mania for the title and go over clean. I just think this Daniel Bryan movement is going about it completely the wrong way. Hijacking shows may seem cool but it doesn’t really change much in the grand scheme of things because you already bought the ticket meaning Vince already has your money. So Vince really has no reason to take those types of fans seriously nor should he, Vince probably finds it assuming actually and probably thinks of new ways to screw with those types of fans because he knows he can. He knows that no matter how much they complain that they will never leave. The only way for fans to get the point across to Vince is to stop watching or stop showing up to live events altogether. Vince speaks in terms of green and if you hurt his pocket book then fans will have his attention

          • BIG M

Yeah again your right sadly your dead right.
Who knows I’ve had this feeling for months now that Orton Will drop the title at chamber so who knows maybe the plan is to have Bryan defend at Mania instead of winning the title in New Orleans but I won’t get my hopes up this time.

          • Jimmy

In a certain way he’s actually keeping the IWC interested because now they tune in every week and show up to every show just hoping that Bryan or they’re other favorites finally get their big moment. Then when it doesn’t happen they complain but show up to the next show waiting for it again. Maybe Vince is alot smarter than we think lol

          • GOR

People were angry at Rumble coz Bryan shoud have atleast been a part of the rumble if he wasnt to win. Here’s the biggest face in the roster n he has to loose clean to a rookie who doesn’t wrestle much & then he gets ignored for the all imp Rumble match.
Instead who gets put over completely ? The guy who just came back, who hasnt wrestled a match on live TV for 4 years.
I m a Batista fan & I m happy that he’s back but pushing him straight-away to the main event of WM by side-lining Bryan intentionally by putting him in a crappy story-line got me mad too. That shows complete non-sense & disrespect to whom fans r chearing n to fans themselves. This is why fans got mad.
DB fans r mad coz of continuous ignorance towards him. Cena fans don’t get mad coz Cena’s always in main event so he goes under n over alternately; unlike Bryan whoj going under continuously. All faces loose to heels 1s in a while; but bryan seems to be loosing/ getting screwed too much.
They should give Bryan the title n make him defend against Batista or put him against Taker.
BDW most cena fans r childish, if u kno wat I mean ! i can give u logic for that too.

Just because Cena has missed one show doesn’t mean they’ll need to bring Punk back. Punk might/probably not come back. They have enough superstars without CM Punk.

  • El Steve

They probably were just not taking the chance. After all this was a house show. Not one of the televised shows.

    • Burt

hose sho r mor imprtnt den da 1s on tv fagit u r so dum its not evn funi lel

  • Jimmy

They don’t even need Punk for this WM, their roster is stacked. Punk must think he’s alot bigger than he actually is if he thinks that WM won’t be as good without him. Vince has a countless number of potential show stealing matches with the current roster, he just fails to see it.

    • Bob’s Diner

I don’t think CM Punk cares if WrestleMania is good or not. He left because he is unhappy in his workplace – not because he thinks he is the biggest star on the roster

      • JR Texx (Jamie)

I think he does, but he wanted it his way.

  • Abdulrahman

    Hohoho, I don’t envy Vince McMahon ^_^

  • Jim Evans

I just hope Cena isn’t on RAW tonight.
