John Cena Says He’s Banged Up But Won’t Miss Raw

John Cena just posted his first Tweet in over a week but didn’t give more details on his right Achilles injury. The WWE Champion Tweeted:

WWE first broke the story here on dot com Sunday morning that Cena suffered a right Achilles injury while working with Ryback on the European tour. They promoted an update for this week’s Raw but were unable to provide a timetable for recovery.

While it still remains unclear when Cena was injured, we’ve learned he was limited on Saturday in Lodz, Poland with wrapping on his right ankle.

Why should cena be stripped if Punk wasnt when he hurt his knee. Punk missed a PPV match.

    • Adam “SwipeManMcNasty”

But Cena’s Achilles injury could be more severe than Punk’s knee injury.
He may need to miss more than one PPV. In which case, he should be stripped.

It remains to be seen if his injury is serious enough to keep him out long term… if it is then yes of course he would be stripped of the title. If he’ll only miss 1 ppv then probably not necessary to do so. (Providing the injury is legit of course)

        • Adam “SwipeManMcNasty”

          Exactly.

If Cenas injury is severe enough to keep him out for a long time then he should definitely be stripped.

You know how the majority of the people are on here, they think Punk is God therefore the rules shouldn’t apply to him.

I think the term “significant” needs to be defined more clearly. If it is something that only causes him to miss Extreme Rules, then I agree with you. If I put the terms “significant” and “achilles injury” together, though, that to me means something more along the lines of a torn/ruptured achilles tendon, which would mean a very extended time off (6 months or so). If this were to be the case, I don’t think the company would have any choice but to strip him or have him lose the title in some other way–maybe even have him work at ER, limited as he may be, have Ryback win the title, and then have surgery the next day. Just my opinion.

I just love how the Cena lovers are coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden and comparing this “injury” to C.M. Punk’s. I’ll believe he’s injured when I actually DON’T see him appear on RAW week in and week out. At this point, he’s the little boy who cried wolf to me, especially considering that the last 2 times he was supposedly injured, he conveniently reappeared on television in time for the Royal Rumble and, even more conveniently, was placed as one of the final 10 men to enter and have a shot at winning. Until he’s actually stripped on TV, I believe NOTHING! Something tells me this is all a ruse designed to get the IWC talking and, if so, it’s working.

    • Kris Mystery

You mean to say WWE is making him the boy who cried wolf right? Cena heals well when he is injured…simple as that

    • Chris

      Your a dumbass!

CM Punk is the one faking an injury just b/c he lost to The Rock & The Undertaker he decide to act a bitch and cry and fake an injury about the fact that he had to put someone else over

  • Chris

Dam!!! I was looking forward to a Cena free WWE!!!

  • sir-rusty82

Ryback must be real sloppy in the ring is there anyone he has been in the ring with that he hasnt banged up. As much as WWE want him on TV the guy needs more training or put him as a mid carder so his not gonna risk injuring the main eventers

    • Snap

By your logic, John Cena is to blame for The Rock’s injury. It’s just an asinine thing to say. If Cena’s hurt, he’s hurt and I doubt it’s anybody’s fault. If he’s hurt, the best thing for him to do is NOT exacerbate it and get it taken care of before it becomes something even more serious.

      • sir-rusty82

Have you not been on this site for long because if you had you would know how many times Ryback has hurt people in a match. Why do people always compare all scenerios with each other. All Iv ben hearing is you cant take the title off Cena because you didn’t take it off Punk well they are totally dif scenerios & now you wanna compare John Cenas inring work to Ryback come on wake up and do your research before you comment kid because I cant be bothered going threw all the matches were Ryback has or nearly has hurt wrestles because of how sloppy he is and John Cena is the face of the company, I actually am the biggest John Cena hater but you cant deny his a good worker

        • Snap

Do you have hard, undeniable evidence that Ryback specifically injured Cena? Just because Cena was in a match with Ryback does not make the injury Ryback’s fault. It doesn’t make it Cena’s fault, sometimes injuries are a freak occurrence such as when Edge suffered his achilles tendon injury during a match with Jeff Hardy.

As for John Cena as a worker, I actually cannot confirm or deny whether he is a good worker, nobody can unless they have personally worked with him in the ring. I will, however, agree that he is a good performer.

While I would hope that Cena’s continued participation in the ring is evidence that he has had the injury checked out and cleared by a doctor, I don’t personally view working in spite of a potentially serious injury to be something to praise a wrestler for. If the injury is something which can be repaired with minimal recovery time, then I would think keeping Cena out of the ring until Extreme Rules and, if WWE keeps the title on him, repair the injury to prevent a possible tear or rupture which WOULD force WWE to take the title off him.

Taking preventative measures now, while the injury isn’t severe, is the smartest action and wouldn’t result in Cena being stripped of the title.

          • sir-rusty82

Ofcourse I don’t have undeniable evidence fool I wasn’t there but with Rybacks reputation with how many people he has hurt why would you doubt the possibility of it happening again and if there is a possibility Ryback did this you don’t have a point if you have proof he didn’t do it your argument is equal to mine.
As for Cena as a worker he is the face of the biggest wrestling business in the WORLD so obviously Id say his not to bad as a worker. But then again the critics are ALWAYS right aren’t they.
The rest I totally agree with why would I want him to risk getting such a serious injury doesn’t matter if Im a fan or not, Id rather be debating about him than waiting for him to come back.
