John Cena To Undergo Elbow Surgery Next Week

WWE Champion John Cena is set to undergo surgery on his left elbow following his match against Daniel Bryan at Sunday’s SummerSlam pay-per-view. The procedure is already scheduled for the early part of next week.

We’re told doctors informed Cena last week his elbow is in bad shape and he is lucky an infection hasn’t developed throughout his arm. Vince McMahon made the call and didn’t give him a chance to work through it.

This is also the reason why Cena was pulled from Sunday’s WWE live event in Oakland, California.

Wish John all the best & don’t like seeing workers have to go under the knife but in strictly storyline terms…YES! YES! YES!

    • Snap

I agree. Despite not being a Cena fan in the slightest, it sucks for anyone to be injured. Kudos also to Vince for ultimately protecting his long term investment and not allowing Cena to potentially make his situation worse by trying to work through it.

  • josh dupreez

your winner and the new WWE champion DANIEL BRYAN

    • Splathew

For about a minute and then Randy Orton’s boring ass will come out and take it from him.

      • StraightEdgeForLife

Unfortunately, I agree with you :(

        • Xavier

I don’t think a cash in is happening, I think Bryan is the one turning heel this Sunday.

      • alontrae walker

Well im glad Cena isn’t the only one people hate LOL I didn’t know people didn’t like Randy either. Randy isn’t boring though Vince has ruined him just like he has Cena, because they are both from the ruthless aggression era but vince wanted to make it family friendly.

  • Josh Cannon

Since they are totally hyping up randy orton cashing in a SS how great would it be if bryan beat cena for the title and then beat orton.

    • StraightEdgeForLife

A second failed briefcase attempt? I’d LOVE it!

      • Josh Cannon

I would to it would make it interesting cause everyone is just assuming orton is gonna win the title

  • BIG M

Well this ruins whatever ending of SS, Yeah yeah I know its kinda obvious Bryan wins Orton cashes in IWC screams ripoff Orton turns heel setting up WWE’s big summer storyline but by releasing this WNW has removed all doubt “and hope” that they might do a swerve.
P.S. Is it the same elbow Cena had surgery on last year.

    • StraightEdgeForLife

Not necessarily. Maybe Orton fails in his cash in attempt when Bryan beats Cena?

  • malinhenriksson

So, DB wins then Orton swoops in an cashes in him briefcase and turn heel

  • Justin Lal

They are making it too obvious that Orton is cashing in. If Cena is taking time off the better way to go would be for Orton to be face and Bryan to be the heel. The way they do that is by having a swerve at Summerslam involving Triple H and Daniel Bryan. Perhaps a “screwjob” finish once Bryan has Cena in the YES Lock.

    • David

Bryan should not turn heel right now. He plays the perfect underdog role and people love to cheer him and do the YES chants. I would have Bryan force Cena to pass out rather than tap out to the yes lock. Also there is no reason for Triple H to be ref. We have already seen that two years ago. Plus you have to remember that Orton is now growing the heal beard

    • alontrae walker

Why would they turn their next big face, heel? Bryan is the new face of the wwe and randy will be the heel while Cena is out. I think now when cena returns he could finally turn heel, not that he will pass the torch to Daniel at summerslam.

  • Kris Mystery

I could see Cena winning and then Orton cashing in on him. Beats him senseless and “puts him on the shelf” for awhile.

    • Sandeep Agarwal

Even i feel the same. I don’t see DB alone causing so much of “damage” to Cena. We may get to see another punt kick from Orton this Sunday.

  • Patrick

knowing Cena he will not be out long….don’t forget he heals quicker then most people he allso had surgry on his neck in the morning and was at the arena visiting everyone backstage with nothing but a bandage on his neck that same night.

  • Tony Rankin

There’s gonna be a lot of angry fans after Summerslam if Randy cashes in. Hopefully he turns heel in the process so Orton can be interesting again. I haven’t cared for him since the Legend Killer and he hasn’t wowed me since he second rope DDT’d Stephanie McMahon and punted Vince in the head.
