I read Austin's tweets, and while I must say that it didn't really feel like Austin wrote them, if he truly did have knee surgery, then I totally understand why he wasn't there. I fell into the trap that a lot of us did: that Austin was too busy making a film to be bothered with a trip across the country to be at the 1000th Raw. But I have to say that I really don't think Austin would have purposely missed Raw if he didn't have to.

Terrible episode. Everything is the same – lighting, ropes, ideas, gimmicks, belt, etc. Loved how they mixed in so many clips of the muppets with the "memorable" Raw moments. The Rock came returned AGAIN after promising to never leave and made a few corny jokes that obviously have no impact anymore. I'm sure we won't see him until the RR. I think this proves just how important SCSA is… The new theme song made me sick to my stomach. I didn't think it got any worse than Nickleback. This show isn't "raw" anymore its just corny.

I get what they were doing. I have no issues with what they are setting up. Punk is a better heel then face and there is nowhere left to go with Punk as a face. They are setting up the Rock's final run. My only issue is that is was a rather lackluster affair and the crowd wasn't really feeling. Then Rock brought it like he hasn't brought it in years, and then the WWE just wasted it. Rock was on fire when he lit up Big Show in a way that nobody currently on the roster could ever come close to matching. Then Punk comes in through the back door and flattens the whole thing. It looks really bad in retrospect. Maybe nobody though Rock was going to hit Show the way he did.

While I agree with JR that too many ppl were asses & just decided for themselves that SCSA snubbed Raw, its also not 100% that he wouldn’t. Remember, he just plain walked out at one point years ago…justified or not, its still possible he would’ve done it again.

Austin is the greatest of all time. I wish that the incident with Owen had never happened, because had it never had happened Austin would still be the top dog in wwe today even with Cena. I hope that with the Punk heel turn that this means Austin/Punk at Mania next year. What a card that would be Cena/Rock II Wwe title, Lesnar/Taker, Austin/Punk and possible HHH/Batista.
