Linda McMahon Loses Senate Race After Spending $100 Million

$100 million wasn’t enough to buy Linda McMahon a United States Senate seat out of the state of Connecticut. CNN can now project Democrat Chris Murphy has defeated McMahon in the race.

Lets just hope it'll be the last time she runs.In her first campaign thining it'll help out her votes,she made Vince turn WWE PG to make it look family friendly and yet she lost.During this run,she had almost everything from the Attitude Era off the internet because they were using clips from that era to make her look bad.Who knows what would happen if she were to try again thinking 3rd times the charm?

  I agree. The only way PG will ever go away is if they get some legitimate competition again like they did with WCW. The fact of the matter is that Vince always publicly hated the attitude era. He only did it out of necessity to combat WCW & ECW. To use, it was one of the greatest eras in wrestling. To Vince, it was just a means to an end.

Totally off topic but, is anybody else having problems with the nWo the revolution blu ray DVD? I bought mine today and my blu ray player couldn’t read neither of the 2 discs. I thought it was my blu ray player but it wasent because I tried some movies that I already have and they worked… Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem for the blu ray version of it. Hope they let me exchange it for a better copy…

I was rooting for Linda as she's done a lot for Connecticut, but hopefully this loss will mean she can come back to WWE and they can make good programming again!

Sorry, but for everyone thinking that Linda’s loss equals the attitude era coming back or a tv-14 product again, you are very sadly mistaken. The tv-pg initiative was launched to gain a much larger variety of sponcers for the product, which in turn makes Vince, Linda and the shareholders, more money. Even though it was one of my favorite times in the WWE as well, I know it’s gone just like ECW. So please accept and be thankful of what you have, as disappointing as the product can be at times.

And thankfully she did announce in her concession speech she is not running in 2014.

I wish people will realise the PG rating has nothing to do with Linda’s campaign. It’s all about advertising and creating more revenue…something you can’t have in 2012 when you have men putting old ladies through tables on your programming. Times have changed, it’s not 1999 anymore.

So many thick headed morons think this is the end of PG. Once again, it’s not PG because of her damn campaign. Maybe it was a little bit, but the main reason is MONEY!! PG means they get more company to advertise their product on WWE TV. Also the contract the have with Mattel (they make the toys) also has to do with WWE being PG. They're making too much money with the PG product, getting sponsors that are attracted to that rating that pay well. Very unlikely to go to PG-13 or higher, although we may see some edgier storylines now.
