Apparently Kelly and McGuinness had been talking about the World Tag Team Title match before Bennett interrupted them. McGuinness talks about the merits of both teams, the Briscoe’s and Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team.
Benjamin and Haas are the first two men to make their way out to the ring. Haas grabs a fans sign and rips it up on the way into the ring.
The Briscoe’s are out next, and they get a great reaction from this Florida crowd.
ROH World Tag Team Championship Match
The Briscoe Brothers vs. Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team
After a long stare down, Mark and Haas look to start things off. Haas bails to the floor right away and flips off a fan before jawing with others. Haas heads back into the ring and he and Mark begin circling before locking up. They break the lockup pretty quickly. Another lock up and Haas goes behind before slamming Mark to the mat and locking in a front face lock. Mark fights up to his feet, but he’s shoulder blocked back down to the mat. He comes right back with a big boot to Haas’ face. Mark goes for another, but Haas bails to the outside again to catch his breath.
Mark turns his attention to Shelton, fighting with him on the outside while Jay attacks Haas, slamming him into the barricade. Jay and Mark team up on Charlie, then Mark turns back to Shelton, slamming him head first into a chair at ringside. Jay continues to ram Haas into the barricade before sending him back into the ring. Mark is already there to stomp away at Haas before tagging out to his brother. Jay comes in and the duo hit a double shoulder block to take Haas out.
Jay hits Haas with a couple of European uppercuts in the corner before whipping him hard across the ring. Shelton pulls Haas out of the way of a clothesline, then dropkicks Jay’s knee. Haas tags out to Benjamin, who comes in with a drop across Jay’s leg. Shelton locks on a knee bar, but Jay makes it to the ropes. The ref is distracted and it allows Haas to choke Jay. Haas tags in and kicks away at Jay in the corner before slamming him head first into the turnbuckle. Haas wrenches Jay’s leg across the rope before kicking away at it. Jay fights back against both Haas and Benjamin, but he’s driven to the mat by Haas who tags Shelton in.
Shelton comes in to the match and hangs Jay up in a tree of woe, kicking at his stomach. Benjamin goes to the outside and pulls at Jay’s leg until he’s driven away by Mark. Benjamin heads back into the ring and kicks Jay in the side of the head before tagging Haas. Shelton suplexes Jay and Haas slingshots into the ring with a senton. Haas tags right back out and WGTT try for something, but Jay fights it off and makes the tag to Mark. Mark comes in with chops to the head for both members of WGTT. He lands on his feet off of a back drop from Shelton, then hits him with a superkick. He sends Haas to the outside with a dropkick, then sits Shelton on the top turnbuckle and pulls him out, driving him to the mat for a two count.
Hass tries to low bridge Mark, sending him to the apron. Mark fights off both Shelton and Charlie, but he’s whipped into the corner ring post by Shelton, and sent down to the floor. Shelton rolls out after him and knees him in the chest a couple of times before whipping him into the barricade. Mark tries to fight back, but Shelton kicks at him and rams his head into the barricade. Shelton drags Mark back into the ring and follows, hitting him with a knee to the side of the head. Shelton stands on Mark with a cocky pin, but Mark kicks out at one. Haas tags in and peppers Mark with a right hand before slamming his head into the corner, whipping him across the ring and charging in with a spear. Haas hits a butterfly suplex that’s good for another two count on Mark. Haas locks in a body scissors with a rear chin lock, but Jay is quick to break things up.
Haas kicks Mark in the corner before hitting a snap mare and a kick to the spine. Haas slams Mark’s head into Shelton’s boot before tagging out to Benjamin. Shelton comes in and hits a quick suplex before taunting the crowd. Shelton takes Mark into the corner and seats him on the top rope. He follows up after him and hits him with a couple of clubbing blows to the back. Shelton goes for a belly to back superplex, but Mark turns his body mid-air and counters. Mark makes the tag and so does Shelton. Mark comes in with a couple of jabs for Haas before hitting a back drop, then a superkick to Shelton. Jay hits Haas with a kick before hitting a plancha to the outside on Shelton. Jay heads up to the top and launches himself off with a cross body to Haas.
Jay hits a beautiful falcon arrow, but Haas is still able to kick out at two. Jay shoulders Haas, but Shelton comes in and hits a superkick, allowing Haas to roll up Jay. Jay kicks out, and Mark attacks Shelton from behind. Mark is booted by Haas, then Jay and Haas trade kicks in the middle of the ring, both knocking the other to the mat at the same time.
All four men struggle to their feet, and have a stare down. They trade right hands in the middle of the ring. The Briscoe’s get the upper hand, but Haas hits Jay with a German suplex and Shelton sends Mark to the ring apron, then hits a slingshot DDT, planting Mark’s face on the ring apron. In the ring, Haas hits Jay with the Olympic slam, then drags Jay on to his stomach. Charlie locks in the Haas of pain, and Shelton prevents Mark from getting involved, but Jay makes it to the ropes to break the hold. Shelton heads into the ring with Haas and the two men hang Jay up on the top rope with Haas holding his legs. Mark hits a missile dropkick to prevent Shelton from doing anything, and Jay rolls up Haas for the three count.
Winners and STILL ROH World Tag Team Champions: The Briscoe Brothers
Following the match, Shelton takes out Mark by ramming him into the ring post, then hits Jay with pay dirt. They drag Jay to the corner and pull him by his legs to crotch him on the ring post. Jay writhes in pain while WGTT grab his legs again and crotch him on the ring post once more. Security come down to the ring, but Haas and Benjamin crotch Jay on the post one more time before heading into the ring and grabbing the ROH Tag Team titles and holding them high in the air. Haas and Benjamin toss the titles to the mat.
Mark Briscoe struggles to get to his feet, but he’s held back by and official and staff. Shelton attacks Mark with a kick and a forearm before he and Haas make their way to the back, smiling the whole way. Mark is able to make it back up to his feet, but Jay Briscoe has to be helped out.
