Major Names Added To WWE PPV, Flo Rida On JBL & Cole Show, Should Punk Be Stripped?

- WWE announced here on dot com that Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen and The Black Keys will appear at the Rolling Stones anniversary concert they are distributing. The concert will take place on Saturday on pay-per-view at 9 PM EST. It will also be streamed online.

- Rapper Flo Rida taped an interview backstage at Sunday’s WWE Tribute to the Troops taping that will be included on this week’s episode of “The JBL & Michael Cole Show.” We have backstage photos of the interview at this link.

- Jim Ross doesn’t think CM Punk should be stripped of the WWE Championship because of his knee injury. You can read the latest from JR in a new blog here on his official website.

    Bruno wasn’t stripped when he broke his neck. And Shawn surrendered his title when he hurt his knee & lost his smile.

    if punk can't perform i think he should be stripped of his title edge a few years ago had to do the same as he was injured during a match, so whats the difference?

    The title only has to be defended " Once " every 30 days. No reason to strip Punk of the title, just because he is injured.

    I don’t see the point of throwing away a plan that has been in the making for well over 6 months (Rock vs punk at RR) because he can’t compete for MAYBE three weeks. It’s not a serious injury and shouldn’t be treated as such. Also as far as I know edge and cena didn’t have any major plans coming up like punk does. So no he should not be stripped, that would be pointless.

    No, I don't think Punk should be stripped of the title because the timeframe for his recovery won't keep him out very long. The reason Cena was stripped of the title to end his 380 day reign was because he had suffered a neck injury and he was projected to be our six to eight months.

    So, taking whether you love Punk or whether you hate him out of the equation, looking at it objectively you will see Punk will miss one PPV and should be back in the ring by the end of the year or early January.

      I don't know if the people who want Punk to be stripped of the title are just people who do not like Punk and don't want him to be champion, but please look at it this way. It's no secret I'm not a Cena fan, but I hated that he had to be stripped of the championship before facing Randy Orton at No Mercy. As much as I didn't want Cena to be champion, you don't get the satisfaction of seeing someone beat him for the championship if they just get stripped for whatever reason.

      So, if you really want to see Punk lose the championship, will you really be satisfied with Punk being stripped and not actually losing the title, giving him that ammunition that whoever ended up with the belt ISN'T the rightful champion since they never beat him? In short: it's not entertaining.
