Backstage Details On A Blowup Between Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon & Triple H Regarding Vince's Role With The Company & Concerns Regarding His Health At A Pivotal Time In WWE's History

We reported earlier this week here on Premium that Vince McMahon was dealing with a health ailment, believed to be a flare up of diverticulitis. Whatever is going on with Vince, it's creating a rift within the family.

We're being told that Stephanie McMahon has been urging her father to take time off until he gets to feeling better. According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Stephanie got into a bit of an argument with Vince over it and told him if he didn't step back and put his health first, she would quit the company. Triple H sided with her and made it clear he wouldn't stay without her.

Cooler heads eventually prevailed and there wasn't a blowup at WWE's highest level, however, there is a precedent for this. One of the reasons why Shane McMahon left WWE is he wanted his father to lessen his role and give him more control. When Vince rejected that notion, Shane ended up pursuing outside interests.

Those close to Vince say that with the ongoing television licensing negotiations as well as the upcoming launch of the WWE Network, he's refusing to be on the outside looking in during such a critical time in the company's history. However, Stephanie and Hunter are worried about the stress resulting in serious damage to his long-term health.

I hate to say this…but Vince is going to kill himself if he keeps working at the pace he is currently going at. especially if he is having health concerns. He is well known for being a Work-a-holic and hates taking time off or going on vacations. Vince himself has even said you will most likely find him behind his desk when he dies. He really should take time off but I don’t see it happening.

Shane’s issues were about control. Stephanie’s are about Vince’s health. They’re two very different things. Here’s hoping Stephanie can get through to her dad and that he’ll take some time off. He’s certainly earned it. There’s no reason he’d have to “sit on the sidelines.” He can do much of what needs done with phones and computers. Diverticulitis can kill. I had a very good friend pass away from it about six years ago. Vince is no good to the WWE dead.

Vince didn’t become the top promoter by taking extended time off..but I would like to see vince on raw’s 25th anniversary show or even it’s he needs to scale back a bit

you made a good point but everyone needs time off once in a while to rest and recharge the batteries. WWE is not going to go out of bussiness if he is not there every day.

I don’t see him taking time off although if he has health issues and all he definitely should. If anyone deserves some time off it’s Vince but I know where he is coming from. I have been unemployed for a few months and it’s absolutely killing me as I’ve always been sort of a workaholic. It would literally hurt Vince to not be there every week working especially at a time when the TV contracts are coming up, the network is looking to launch, and they are going into the Royal Rumble with Wrestlemania not being far behind (with too much up in the air for that card). I hope Vince takes care of himself though.

Disregard. Apparently something was just fcuked up. Stuff was stretched out, advertisements were popping up etc etc. All cleared up now.
