Mick Foley Probably Won't Sign New WWE Deal After Low Video Game Payout

Shares 0

While doing media out of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mick Foley said he probably wasn't going to sign his new WWE Legend's Contract because he doesn't feel the company did right by the guys in the WWE 2K14 video game. Foley said the check was "a little low" and while there was a bankruptcy last year (referring to THQ going out), he said he didn't see the upside. He admitted he probably should have told WWE before he told the radio hosts.

You can listen to Foley make the comments at the 13:30 mark at this link.

I feel like he has seen his fair share of $ from wwe and should quit his whining.

Actually, he should have listened to Bret Hart. Bret refuses to sign a Legends deal.

If that was your money you wouldn’t be saying that ….

Surely a little bit of money is better than none???

  • I’m going to repeat what was said by everyone else here; At least he’s making money. It keeps his name relevant instead of going to bingo halls, and no doubt the WWE game is going to make more money this year being on the new systems, as well.

I agree and in the end he probably will sign. He’s just trying to get more money. I don’t blame him for it but this is the wrong way to do it and he probably just blew all his chances. I agree with Michael I can’t stand a whiner.

      • I can’t stand a whiner, either. I know Mick isn’t really one to whine so there must be a reason. I know he’s in a lot of pain…Mick Foley is like JR, he’ll leave all he wants, but he always comes back!

I’m actually glad he comes back as well as JR. I actually believe you need the old timers around to teach. I’m not that thrilled about them being in the ring to hold titles and leave. But to come back and pass the torch on some matches are great.

Man, Foley has been very vocal lately. He attempts to speak for his fans but he is coming off as a whiner. I have always been a fan but I can only take so much complaining. He is going to end up burning bridges.

So, he’s not going to sign a contract that simply requires him to make the occasional appearance and in turn gives him what amounts to free money?
